Nicki Minaj, Lil' Kim feud continuesLil' Kim is giving women emcees a bad rap, says hip-hop sensation Nicki Minaj. In a new interview with the New York Times's T magazine, Minaj says Lil' Kim should stop dissing her and their fellow female artists and show them some love. "The thing that I want to promote is that if you see someone doing their thing, give them their props," says 25-year-old Minaj, whose ongoing feud with the Queen Bee has intensified in recent weeks. Conan spoofs 'Spider-Man' musical, gets flowersForget the Green Goblin – looks like Spider-Man's biggest enemy is Conan O'Brien. On his late-night talk show last week, O'Brien offered up a "preview" of the trouble-plagued "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" Broadway musical featuring actors in low-budget costumes belting out songs with cheesy lyrics. Though the audience found the skit hilarious, the "Conan" parody hit a sour note with the "Turn Off the Dark" team. The New York Post reports that the sensitive Spidey production sent O'Brien a large floral bouquet with a message that read, "We hope you enjoy the flowers. It was cheaper than a cease-and-desist." Robert Downey Jr. to teach at theater camp?Busy actor Robert Downey Jr. is getting ready for a tune up. The Oscar winner is set to star in a new musical based at a theater camp. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is developing the comedy for Downey, who would play one half of a Broadway songwriting team who "find themselves creatively and financially bankrupt when their big-break musical flops." In an attempt to find inspiration, the duo take jobs at the theater camp they attended as kids, teaching singing and dancing while coming up with a plan for a big comeback. Bristol: I wasn't forced to danceBristol Palin isn't sidestepping the issue of whether her mom forced her to do "Dancing With the Stars," as claimed by former competitor Margaret Cho. In a December 4 message on her Facebook page, Sarah Palin's 20-year-old daughter writes, "I was somewhat taken aback to read about me in a blog by my friend and fellow contestant, Margaret Cho. In a post she called 'Pistol Whipped' she wrote that 'the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it. Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly ... for not winning the election, and so she told Bristol she 'owed' it to her to do DWTS." Not so, says Bristol. '80s and '90s celebs sing 'Let It Be'I don't know about you, but I've always wanted to see Jason Alexander, Huey Lewis, Kathleen Turner and Ricki Lake sing the Beatles' classic "Let it Be." Lucky for everyone, the Norwegian interview show "Gylne Tider" has made that dream come true. Watching this music video on Youtube, featuring celebrities from the 1980s and '90s sing (or more accurately, lip-sync) to the famous tune, is a surreal experience. Just when you think a more random assortment of famous people isn't possible, it proves you wrong. Tonya Harding? Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli? "Miami Vice's" Phillip Michael Thomas? They're all here. |
