Count Kurtis Blow as someone else who may not be too happy with the new airport security policies.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to CNN that the legendary rapper was caught with marijuana at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday after a security screening.
“Kurtis Blow Walker was cited by Los Angeles Airport Police at approximately 5:45 a.m. December 2, 2010 at Terminal 7 while undergoing TSA security screening,” said a statement released by police. “Walker was cited for violation of California Health and Safety Code 11357 (b), misdemeanor possession of less than 28.5 grams of marijuana and released.”
Well, like his hit song from the 1980s says, “these are the breaks.”
Excellent site. A lot of helpful info here. I am sending it to some friends ans also sharing in delicious. And naturally, thank you to your effort!
needs to change his name to Kurtis Toke
Geez, ya tried to carry on over an ounce?!?! Sorry, but that is idiotic and greedy, and you deserved to get caught. Signed, a much more careful stoner.
Who's the idiot again? He was charged with possession of LESS than one ounce of pot.
Go take a reading comprehension class please.
WHO CARES????? legalize it and get it over with. these arrests – and resulting stories – are vapid and silly.
good job TSA. another terrorist nabbed. if [ Osama Bin Laden == Kurtis Blow ] then; arrest else; endif;
anyone ever notice all TSA agents are foreigners? at least in DFW they are. I think because a natural born citizen would be ashamed to do what they are doing currently.
In other news, the sky is still blue, water is still wet, and heat is still hot.
Thank god! Our heroic law enforcement has once against saved someone from a horrible case of the munchies.
How is THIS news?
Never heard of this guy and probably never will again.
News Flash...They have confirmed that they have found Sand in the middle east.. Why are we still demonizing marijuana. Don't tell me its a gateway drug.Unless that gate leads to Taco Bell.We waste too much money in resources regarding this drug.Legalize it and move into the 21st century where we have real problems to solve..
just my 2 cents
Kurtis Blow, you have brought shame to the pristine reputation of musicianship. I am sure you would have made Charlie Parker cry if he had lived to hear of this.
Seriously, the TSA sucks. So what is the score so far? Terrorists caught 0 pot busts 12,342,142,231,432,941,209,480 or something like that. Yeah, their protecting us from terrorists alright. I feel so much safer flying when I know they have kept rappers off the plane. Kurtis Blow can't fly and Willie Nelson can't ride a bus.
How about "Rapper Found Without Marijuana" – Now THAT would be news.
The worst part about this story is the fact that he was trying to toake weed with him of the trip. He's Kurtis Blow! Can't he get a sack when he arrives? I am not even famous and not a regular pot smoker, but seem to stumble into people who want to share their stash with you.
How about, pot is illegal because the vast majority of the U.S. populace (as evidenced by the vast majority of posts herein) are a bunch of whiney, lazy, busybody sheep who think a larger government is best to 'give' you more rights. As if government could give you rights. The U.S. is dead, and the Consitution is dead, and soon its remaining sheep populace will be living in poverty when the dollar collapses to Zero. I for one am really going to enjoy watching the lot of you whine and scream for the government to do something to 'help', because you will still think that larger, more intrusive government has anything but your demise on its collective mind. Hurray for the TRUTH, Hurray for real moraity as dictated by our creator. HUrray that the U.S. will soo reap the reward of damnation it has been begging for for so long.
Look at the dude's eyes! Of course he smokes pot. He's probably high in that picture.
How dumb can one be?? It a security check, looking for illegal things. He probably feels like a victom. Its because I'm.....
If the screeners would have dug a little deeper they would have found the white girl attached to his hoagie.
lmao rap is just another form of poetry how can you deny it as creativity? opinions are not facts....
These are the breaks!
Wow, some musicians smoke pot. There's a scoop.
his name is kurtis BLOW. seriously people. that should be all the hint you need that he smokes mj. if it's not legal, take his pot and send him on his way. this is not news.
really? he's a rapper and the best he could do was marijuana? how weak. It's just such an easy taunt I had to do it.
What kind of a moron takes dope to an airport? It's like wearing a sign around your neck that says, "BUST ME!"
thanks a lot California. Why didn't you get out and vote?
Who cares about who got caught with MARYJANE? Blacks get times while white entertainers get rehab.
It must have been a slow news day for anyone to think this incident even deserved one line of a new story!
Rapper caught with marijuana....that is not news.
Rapper caught WITHOUT marijuana.....now THAT is news !!
Kurtis Blow, who is he? That would be news as well.
What kind of an idiot actually tries to get marijuana past airport security? Seriously, how dumb can this guy possibly be?
Smoking weed causes apoplectic fits.
haha "Rapper caught with marijuana." In other news, George W. Bush caught with cocaine, and rain forest caught with the color green.
I am just as guilty as the next person for feeding the "media" machine. This is news because the general public allows it to be news. Need to reprogram the reading/viewing generations and prevent future generations from being so heavily influenced by something far more damaging to the brain than weed......caring about the personal lifestyles of those that entertain us. As subtle as it is, big media is firmly entrenched in our minds and reflected in our lifestyles. On the same (toke) N , I respect anyone that can obtain financial security by using (hustling) the media to pad their bank account. Of course the ad revenue generated from the page views for this article is a winning situation for the publishers as well...........hmmm...general public how is your financial situation looking? Good job Kurtis, I know what MP3's I'll be listing to tonight ;)
This is not news.
Do not legalize marijuana... First, the drug alters your state of mind. Coming from a long term drug user, I have blurred vision when driving and it's not that fun at all. It might be fun to smoke it once in awhile but when it's a daily thing, you get really tired. I don't really have the chance to choose from the indica/sativa strains so I'm guessing i mostly get indica strains cause I get so dam tired after a toke session. And for all your marijuana smokers out there... next morning, look at your face, your left side of your face will droop lower than your right...
It amazes me that pot is illegal, yet Marinol (pot pills) is quite legal. I guess if a pharmaceutical company can charge $1000 a month for a Rx, then things are all good in their world.
Big deal. Leave the crap, er, rap "artist" alone.
This is a bunch of crap, They racially profiled him, Everyone has pot, I bet even the arresting officers have poy,,,....They are not going to legalize it, There is still people doin g hard time for it and if they legalize it they are not going to make any money, The governments habit comes first. we come second...........
I have a cousin that grew pot in his back yard and lived right beside a small town cop, I asked him if he wasnt afraid and he simply said NO, He is my best customer :(
legalize already. cannabis is the biggest jobs program in history... http://www.facebook.com/free.the.leaf
In other news, college students are discovered drinking alcohol, and you can now get news from the "net".
Creative Minds have utilized the herb for a very, very long time. Ones that say rappers are not creative, close their mind off to music of now, whereas I am sure that during the 80's, 70's, 60's, and sure the 50's too, countless artists endulged on the green of the earth too. Louis Armstrong did, and man could he blow. Legalize it!
Marijuana will never be legal because stoners dont vote. They reeally want to but they forget.
What? A rapper with marijuana? I've never heard of such a thing.
Any law enforcement in LA would simply try and use the fact that Kurtis Blow is trying to get on a plane to run him through security. If he passes, no big deal, if he doesn't–instant headlines showing the vigilance of "our" airport security. The question comes up: why was Kurtis Blow subjected to search? Were they afraid he was smuggling a bomb in his underwear or shoes?
AND? Who cares? You media try to sensationalize everything. Leave the guy alone.
Why does every article involving maijuana erupt into a pro-pot forum? We get the point, you want it legalized and it's less harmful than apparently everything in the world. For the time being, it's illegal and Mr. Blow shouldn't have been trying to get pot through airport security. I'd say he's incredibly dumb for trying to do so.
Oh I dunno...because of squareheads like you who cannot manage to do anything but be surprised that everyone does not "obey the law" like you were scared into doing? Fair enough?
LOL, I have to agree with you here it was a silly thing to try to do. I kind of wonder if it was somthing left in a jacket pocket...a natural mistake. I don't believe he was silly enough to try to get anything through.
...and this suprises anyone?
WHY IS THIS NEWS?? Let the adult do what he wants, he's not hurting anyone.
in todays messed up recession blocked society, who CARES!! we should all get high!!
I think at this point a headline saying "Rapper NOT caught with marijuana" would be more surprising. Although with a name like Blow, it makes wonder why they didn't find any coke...
It would be nice for once for the court to sentenced a non-rapper white entertainer to do some times rather rehab. How many times Lohan got to be sentenced to rehab before she stays behind bars for the time she supposed to get?
Actually CHOLLYGEE anyone can get weed if you want to!! people may say its hard but trust me its not hard to get at all!! I dont smoke it but i have a lot of friends who do smoke it and it relaxes a lot of people or some people just say stupid things to make you laugh its not harming anyone!! and just cause the tch level goes up on some weed does not make it hard to find or buy!!! if you cant buy it then your broke and dont need to be smoking it just like people who are addicted to cigarettes i rather have people walking around smoking weed all day then cigarettes.. cigarettes will kill more people from the second had smoke then weed!!!!!
So...it's easy for you? What's your point? Because YOU think "it's not hard to get at all" doesn't mean that it's as easy as going to the 7-11 and getting some corporate-produced weed....or, did you actually read my post? Thanks for all that though, I guess.
Weed does NOT need to be legalized, it only needs to be DECRIMINALIZED. 7-11 does not need to be able to carry RJR Nabisco's "Da Kine", NEW!! with 27% more THC!!! People who want it legalized are just the ones who cannot get it NOW. Decriminalize, not legalize.
@"Life": Some bigot seeing everything in terms of color? REALLY??!?
I wish people would stop with the racist stuff who cares what color your skin is i wish the government would do the same!! they are quick to judge someone cause of they skin color and its known in the world that the black man is always the one smoking weed!!! do some history cause if i remember the weed has been coming from mexico from the mexicans so quit judging all african american males..
I've boarded many airplanes with weed on me. No big deal. It's easier for me though... my skin isn't brown.
Some black guy smoking weed?
THIS IS NEWS!?
well that is about the most racist statement on here so far!!!!!!!!
I think weed should be legalized for the simple fact it doesn't really do any harm.. you have never heard on the news of someone being high causing a wreck.. when they going to realize that alcohol is more intense then weed!!!! LEGALIZE IT ALREADY!!! if people want to smoke it then smoke it!! half of the people locked up now wouldnt be in there and we wouldnt have so many prisons over populated.. quit worrying about the weed and get those kidnappers, rapist, murders, OVER SEAS (OSAMA)!! THEIR IS MORE THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT IN THIS WORLD THEN GIVING SOMEONE A FINE OR ARRESTING SOMEONE FOR WEED!!!!!!
Stupid should HURT
In other news, there are tall buildings in New York City.
Why is the TSA doing anything but dealing with security? Is the passenger going to take over the plane with a joint?
(Well maybe if he had one for everyone. ;-) )
wow! sky is blue, water is wet...
It's ridiculous to be arresting people for this anymore. Either way, you have to be pretty stupid to try to bring pot through airport security screening.
"Rapper caught with marijuana" is top news in this category? Why not just post "CNN caught posting news." This statement of the obvious is brought to you bny Captain Hindsight.
What a joke. Why is this even news? Because it DOESN'T NEED TO BE NEWS. No one should be even questioned for a small amount of pot, let alone arrested for it. Meanwhile, our kids can't even walk home from school without being attacked, our houses get broken into, drunks kill us on the road, and Palin is allowed to live in the U.S. We live in a nation that seems to have long ago lost it's common sense.
Exactly... Who Cares! It's only pot and this dumby shouldn't of even tried taking grass on his person with all of the new screening practices that airports are doing these days. He just wanted to get his name in the media because no one knows who he is... now he'll be the king of all ghettos across the US. Congrat's to you Kurtis Blow, you have now hit the big time! Idiot!
I've known his name for over 20 years. He's a pioneer of hip-hop and has never spread a message of violence. Just because you don't know his name doesn't mean he hasn't made one for himself. You middle aged white men are irritating
"Dumby"? Really? And THEN you show your ignorance....
Marijuana causes blindness and hair to grow in the palms of your hands. It's true, some guy told me.
GOT HIM!!! BIN LADEN NEXT!
Mr. Blow is either, 1. Very intelligent in trying to keep the focus on how wrong the nations marijuana laws are, or 2. Stupid for carrying weed through airport molestation ceremonies.
Calm down Pamela, its ok, we are just shooting the bull. Let us know what it is you want to talk about and we'll see what we can come up with in response.
Lessee...I'll come to CNN, find a story about a rapper getting busted for weed, enter my name and email address and then post "Who Cares?"
Now, back to the pork rinds.
Wouldnt be surprised except that this is Kurtis Blow; I guy whose been on the straight and narrow and preached messages of positivity in his songs and at one time even founded a hip-hop church.
A Rapper with Weed....Who knew. What a waste of text.
And this is news why??
hmm no big surprize there btw totally not a story duh a rapper with weed lol how clueless is the media
Dr's prescribe medical marijuana! my question is do they prescribe cigarettes or alcohol? i do not smoke pot but geez legalize it already
It will be legalized when people can stop catching charges for it and making anti pay checks.
That's like a redneck being caught with beer. What's the problem?
Apparently, Kurtis had decided to fly after Willie Nelson's tour bus was unavailable.
Why is this news? What's planned for tomorrow's headline? Water is wet? Sun provide's light?
Legalize it, no one has ever died consuming cannabis....500,000 a year die from baccy... and how many from alcohol?
Gee – – – what a shocker! Another lower form of life (rapper) being busted for dope! Why is this news? This "entertainer" met one of the 3 criteria for being a "successful rapper" – – – 1) doper and dope advocate, 2) treating women like garbage, and 3) advocating for the murder of police officers.
For the whiney, cry-babies who P&Ming about dope being legal, I suggest you become informed about the facts of putting illegal crap in your bodies. It gets to be very old when people rant on and on about marijuana being "safer" than alcohol. This, of course, is unadulterated nonsense.
There is a great deal of legitimate, unbiased information about the horrendous health and societal effects of dope – yes, including marijuana. Perhaps you could – if your brains are not already fried – avail yourselves of factual information. And, please don't rely on the "facts" of another doper. What do you think you'll hear from them – – – Duh!?!
Blah, blah, blah. Pardon me, but your stupidity is showing. You sure you aren't missing a meeting of the Brownshirts?
This is news...a rapper gets arrested with marijuana. I guess now the govt. is going after media figures associated with drug use? And that will accomplish what, exactly? Legalize pot, already. Enough people smoke the stuff in this country that it's really kind of stupid to keep trying to prosecute. There's other things that are more important. Maybe, if we get to the point in this country where having a pot plant on your front porch is just commonplace and boring, then people that want to get stoned can go out ON their front porch, and not bother anyone else. It also won't be seen as a rebellious act or whatever. In some countries, people aren't this retarded. Why?
Who needs to think when your feet just go?
He looks too old to be a rapper....and he is legendary.
lock him up for life!!!
Hey James, what is a role modem?
So he was caught with something that doesn't kill people, yet cigarettes are legal and kill millions annually? Am I missing something?
I think you missed the mega millions the tobacco lobby pumped into the pockets of our legislators over the years.
It is a damm shame this drug user was not locked up. He promotes drug use, hardly a role modem. Should join his buddy TI and lil wayne in prison.
A role modem, eh? Go take your baud rate worthless comments back to your hole!!!
This is news: someone caught with pot? Or is the fact that a rapper was caught with pot and NOT meth?
Another person to jail for a victimless crime. The USA. The highest number of citizens in jail per capita in the world. Most for victimless crimes. Meanwhile the real criminals on Wall Street and the US Government walk away unscathed and with a pile of tax dollars in their pockets.
"Victimless Crime?" So, there is no societal cost from the use of dope? Broken families? Home invasions? Loss of judgment? Impaired motor skills? Financial instability? Cardiorespiratory disorder? 9.5x more likely to be in a vehicular collision than non-users? The list goes on and on, oh delusional one!
Maybe it was medical marijuana.
I guess you can't fly with a half bag of poke anymore. Thanks terrorists.
OMGawd, thank you for that laugh!!!!
I am shocked and appalled!
That's like saying "Rapper Caught Using Bad Grammar."
OH MY GOD !!! A Rapper caught with weed. I am stunned, shocked and flabbergasted....not.
The headline: Rapper caught with Marijuana
No wai! Who'da thunk it? Rapper? Marijuana? Twilight Zone!
Really though, he's got to be a complete idiot if he got caught in an airport. Why the hell would you carry on an airplane? And if you're some sort of rapper who maybe makes a buck or two, you'd think he could just buy some after he landed. What a maroon. People this dumb give other stoners a bad name.
If you aren't driving...then what you do to yourself is none of anyone's flipp'in biz.
Something about getting on these off format CNN Blogs is creepy...Like coming way down here to post something.
So What ! Whats the deal ?
The pot laws are ludicrous. He is an adult and should have the right what he decides to put into his own body. While none of this crap is good for you, and doctor will tell you the two most damaging abused drugs are tobacco and alcohol. ( having medical training, I would put crystal meth in the same group.). These same doctors will tell you pot is the least harmful.
Along with this right use drugs comes the responsibility of accepting the consequences of your choice. If you get into trouble with the drugs, do not come to me for help. This includes using my Medicare tax dollars for treating diseases induced by smoking tobacco and swilling alcohol.
"These are the breaks..."
Those are "The Breaks"
After four decades of fueling the U.S. policy of a war on drugs with over a trillion tax dollars and 39 million arrests for nonviolent drug offenses, our confined population has quadrupled making building prisons the fastest growing industry in the United States. More than 2.2 million of our citizens are currently incarcerated and every year we arrest an additional 1.9 million more guaranteeing those prisons will be bursting at their seams. Every year we choose to continue this war will cost U.S. taxpayers another 69 billion dollars. Despite all the lives we have destroyed and all the money so ill spent, today illicit drugs are cheaper, more potent, and far easier to get than they were 40 years ago at the beginning of the war on drugs. Meanwhile, people continue dying in our streets while drug barons and terrorists continue to grow richer than ever before. We would suggest that this scenario must be the very definition of a failed public policy. This madness must cease!
The stated goals of current U.S.drug policy - reducing crime, drug addiction, and juvenile drug use - have not been achieved, even after four decades of a policy of "war on drugs". This policy, fueled by over a trillion of our tax dollars has had little or no effect on the levels of drug addiction among our fellow citizens, but has instead resulted in a tremendous increase in crime and in the numbers of Americans in our prisons and jails. With 4.6% of the world's population, America today has 22.5% of the worlds prisoners. But, after all that time, after all the destroyed lives and after all the wasted resources, prohibited drugs today are cheaper, stronger, and easier to get than they were thirty-five years ago at the beginning of the so-called "war on drugs".
Blah balh ...the bottom line is the loss of the freedom to do upon yourself. If you don't drive or supply to minors. As an adult it's your life to live as one sees fit....we don't need big brother saying you can't eat or you can't drink that.
I wonder what ol' Mr. Blows thoughts are on Obama increasing drug war funding? I mean this and Willie Nelson! Damn pot smokers are the real terrorists!
That's the breaks.
"Rapper caught with pot" is a non-story the same way as "Willie Nelson caught with pot" is a non-story. The only thing that makes this slightly newsworthy is a) it's Curtis Blow – rap icon and b) he tried to get it through a TSA checkpoint.
Isn't the TSA supposed to be looking for things that can bring down an airplane? What did they think he was going to do, smoke up with the pilots and get them impaired?
Hey, I can fly.
i heard mary j makes u go crazy and go on crime sprees
Wrong artist. Rick James sings about Mary Jane, not Kurtis Blow.
No, thats rap that
Too bad he was caught now and not on January 1, 2011. That is when this "crime" would be an infraction and $100 fine. As of now, he's been charged with a misdemeanor and he (or his attorney) needs to show up in court.
But Kurtis Blow can always play basketball with me any day!
It is all for the better that Mr. Blow remain stoned ....otherwise he get troublesome
Did you think "they" don't smoke.....come on get with the program. Bad influence on our youth, and only getting worse. It's like a virus spreading across the country. No neighborhood is safe anymore.
Go back to your hole!!!
More like: "NEWS FLASH, Pope is Catholic..."
What is your source for that information?
A rapper caught with pot? That's like saying a bear craps in the woods.
Listen to all you people: Marijuana should be legalized, blah, blah, blah. That isn't the issue here. The issue here is:
This IDIOT carried an illegal substance into an airport, thinking he was above the law and couldn't get caught. He KNOWS its illegal to possess it and he KNOWS its illegal to try and bring it through airport security, where there is a possibility he will be searched and caught.
HE is a MORON and should not be looked up too, except on HOW NOT TO DO THINGS.
Do not criticize Mr. Blow for disregarding an unjust, unreasonable law. Millions of Americans do. You claim that the "smart" thing to do is to avoid getting caught, but that just perpetuates the injustice. Not getting caught is certainly my approach, and that of most, but that is only because I and most people do not have the resources to defend ourselves against the detainment, torture, and character assasination that the "authorities" engage in. I applaud Mr. Blow, and look to his type (i.e. rich and/or famous) to be the catalyst for change. Speaking of which, bravo Willie Nelson!! Please, all of you: Keep getting busted!
The only news stories I read anymore are ones that have to do with someone getting busted with weed, simply because commenters on the other ones are always preachy and faux-moralistic but you're guaranteed a refreshing burst of (albeit minor, still present) common sense here. Even cops and prison guards I've talked to are disgusted with the fact that folks who smoke something that's barely a narcotic are sent off to prison like rapists where they get toughened up and come out a worse person than they ever were high. Just legalize it already, it was only ever targeted because of hemp being a better alternative to trees for paper in the first place.
# 1. Who is this guy? # 2. How is this news??
He is the opposite of Souljah Boy, Drake, and Hurricane Chris, therefore you probably never heard of him.
Kurtis Blow is one of the original "rappers" from the early days of hip hop. My favorite songs are "The Breaks" and "Basketball." Run of Run DMC originally called himself the Son of Kurtis Blow. I do agree that he should have left his weed in NY. We have better stuff in CA.
You're an idiot, along with all the other tools that make stupid comments like this. If you'll notice, it's on a blog related to entertainment, and he's an entertainer.
If this was a story on Roy Clark or another member of the hee-haw gang, my guess is you'd know who he was.
Just to show you the man isn't discriminating, Willie Nelson got pinched with some weed just lat week.
@Dave's #1: You've got to be effin kidding me.
GOVERMENT!!--FU** YOU – YOU FU***ING F***'s
Didn't the governor sign a bill a little while ago that would make possession of such amount of [weed] merely a citation?
You can't smoke or be caught with marijuanna but a TSA search-hound can stick his thumb up your a** like you a god damn wine bottle in the name of security! I give up!
This got a laugh out of me. I agree. Pretty messed up.
WHAT? A person in a creative profession has pot? What is this world coming to?
FREE KURTIS BLOW! Oh, he was released. LoL. J/k. Anyways, Kurtis Blow is a hip-hop legend! He shouldn't be treated like this. Marijuana should really be somewhat legal by now, especially in California. The cops here are well-known for NOT confiscating weed as long as you tell them you're carrying it. I'm not a smoker myself, but come on. Alcohol causes a lot more problems then marijuana ever will. LEGALIZE it, and TAX it! Problem solved!
I jus' wanna' say they disrespected my bud Blow. He's a good dude and he never hurt no one, 'cept for those shoot-ups in L.A. last year, but he wasn't there at the time no how. His mama told him not to fly with da' weed, but you know how fun it is to mess with the man.
Merry Christmas all and we never said we were the brightest bulbs on the tree.
He tried to fly with some pot? You mean these rappers go for the THC? I'm so surprised! Next thing you'll tell me is that they like cough syrup, too...
Someone should tell these guys to be careful–there's a war against drugs in this country.
Kurtis Blow is a thug? Look, if you don't have any idea what you're talking about, please feel free to just keep quiet so that you look like less of a tool.
Good game CNN. Sorry about the inadvertent flame, Chauncey.
What a crock. Seriously every time I hear about someone getting busted for pot I flip. What an incredible waste of time and money to hunt down and prosecute someone for pot. There is more money being spent in the united states to find and prosecute for marijauna than there is money being spent to find murderers, rapists, & theives all way more heinous crimes. Lets get serious America! Legalize POT! There are more people being arrested for pot in the US than for any other crime! Prohabition didn't work for booze and obviously it has not worked for pot either. Just think of all the tax money that alcohol generates, there are millions of pot users in the US think of the revenue that would generate for us!!
I completely agree but my goodness, our DA goes after pot smokers and dispensaries with a vengeance. 1-1-11 (when possession of less than an oz is an infraction) can not come soon enough for me.
OKAY ALL YOU LITTLE POTTIE HEADS LISTEN UP POT WILL NEVER EVER BE MADE LEGAL HERE IN THE USA.AND I'M TOTALLY GLAD.I'LL GIVE YOU A LITTLE TIP IF THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT TOTALLY CONTROL IT IT WILL NEVER BE LEGAL PERIOD.
Typing in all CAPS and using poor punctuation should be made illegal. ;-0
David- Take your pills and shut your mouth (and the caps lock) idiot.
I also agree to the fact that Marijuana should be legalized, but at the current time it's not. Also, it's not as if Kurtis was "hunted down" using federal or state fund. The jack ass walked through LAX, one of the largest travel hubs in the world, knowing full well about increased security and random searches, not to mention body scans, and willfully brought weed with him! He wanted to get caught! If he didn't he's really good at pretending like he did. He's Kurtis Blow, would it really be that hard for him to buy a quad wherever he's going? I doubt it. So Kurtis remember: Get high before the flight!
this is why marijuana should be legalized..so many people are put in jail, or laid stupid fines, for a "drug" that does less harm then alchohol, which can be found on most corners in your neighborhood...lets get a pot smoking bar happinen...and see how many times the cops have to come there for violence or anything like that...
LOL "this is why pot should be legalized" I am all about pot being legalized but saying this is why is retarded, its like if someone is getting convicted on murder and saying this is why killing people should be legalized. Unfortunately it is currently illegal so trying to board a plane with some is stupid.
Blow caught with Pot LOL
WHATS A KURTIS BLOW
Haaa haaa, that was hilarious. I was going to say " Who"? Why is this news?
A ridiculous waste of taxpayer money, and an even worse loss of our supposed freedom. What a joke.
All the money and resources that was spent on this could have been used to monitor the border for illegal aliens or check up on child molesters. LEGALIZE & PRIORITIZE!!!
pot needs to be legalized, he is an adult and should be able to smoke just as freely as the fat lazy lawmakers suck their booze down.
Absolutely! Thanks for telling it like it is.
that got a laugh out of me. it's true, though.
Well, they probably smoke it on their balcony because it's illegal and they don't want their apt. to stink like it. If it was legal they'd probably smoke it inside on the couch. ;)
Alcohol is legal, and its still illegal to drink in public, and yet they still do
Also,a rapper with marijuana? really?
maybe next they will discover a bird with feathers
Yes, it should be legalized, but he is still a moron for trying to get it past security while it is still legal.
Rob your a baby. People like you are party poopers. Please just stay in your condo.
Rob, I think you're mistaking weed smoke with cigarette smoke because weed smoke doesn't linger and/or stink for that long. Also, it doesn't stink, well the good stuff does, and by stink I mean smells great. Legalize it!
Why is this news worthy?
Pot is less addictive than caffine and safer than aspirin! Legalize it and find out how many different ways this "Wonder Plant" can be utilized.
can't agree more this isn't even news
I could sympathize with Rob, I don't like the smell of smoke either. But that's no reason to ban it for everyone in the entire country. A better solution would be for the Apartment complex manager to decide whether or not smoking is permitted, or to define smoking areas out of the way.
I agree, of course, in terms of legalization, but for right now, pot isn't legal, so what kind of moron does it take to actually bring weed into an airport? This rapper has sucked down one too many bong hits in his day if he is so dense as to bring a controlled substance into any airport today. Did he think he wouldn't be able find any Maiu Wowwee when he got his destination?
LEGALIZE MARIJUANA!!!! CONTROL IT LIKE ALCOHOL _ THERE IS NO HARM!!! LET FREEDOM REIGN!!! So sick of pretend Puritanism in this country. There is a difference between having moral values and just plain Puritanism restricting people's freedoms.
they do not want to legalize pot cause the mexican drug cartel told the american government if they did they would turn the southern united states into what iraq looks like. Top american brass is scared , and does not want a mexican taliban in our soil cause with the numbers already here it would be hard to point out who is who.
HA HA damn straight !!
:) :) :)
i agree legalize pot but criminalize rap
Brakes on a bus and brakes on a car....Breaks to make you a superstar.....Brakes on a plane and brakes on a train...Breaks to make you go insane...THESE ARE THE BREAKS!!!!.....Smoke up Curtis.....At least you didn't get caught w/ BLOW.....LOL....These laws are just ridiculous.
