Neil Patrick Harris on his kids: I've never been happier

Neil Patrick Harris has a lot to be thankful for this holiday, particularly his children.

"I've never been happier," Harris said of twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace during an appearance on "The Talk" on Monday.

The "How I Met Your Mother" star, whose kids with partner David Burtka were born via a surrogate six weeks ago, said that Gideon and Harper both have different personalities. Their son is "a great burper" and "sleeps all the time," while their daughter is a bit "fussier."

Michael Douglas and family hang with Mickey Mouse

Now if this doesn’t put you in the holiday spirit, we’re not quite sure what will.

On the day before Thanksgiving, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” star Michael Douglas was all smiles as he stopped for a photo op in front of the Epcot theme park Christmas tree in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, with two other Hollywood greats: Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

The actor, who has been recovering from eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation to treat throat cancer, was joined by his wife, actress Catherine Zeta Jones, and their two children, Dylan (left), 10, and Carys (right), 7.

Douglas announced that doctors had found a tumor in his throat in August, and finished up treatment for the illness in October.

Jeremy Renner: Tom Cruise inspires me

"Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" star Jeremy Renner says he could replace superstar Tom Cruise in future editions of the spy thriller.

"It's a franchise to potentially take over," Renner, 39, tells MTV News. "I can't predict the future and what they want, but that's certainly the idea."

As Marquee previously reported, Cruise, 48, and Paramount studios had been seeking younger actors to join the "M:I" team to help breathe new life into the enterprise and take the helm. But whether or not Cruise will hand over the reins in "Ghost Protocol," Renner can't say.

Kanye and Matt Lauer together again at Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

This time their meeting was much less auspicious.

There was nary a mention of their recent dust up when “Today” show host Matt Lauer introduced rapper Kanye West at the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Not exactly dressed for the elements in a fur vest, shiny gold top (complete with multiple gold chains) and a pair of leather pants with matching headband, West performed a brief version of the song “Lost in the World” from his critically acclaimed album, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," while riding aboard the Big Apple float.

A touching 'Modern Family'

Leave it to "Modern Family" to remain topical - well, at least inadvertently.

During a week in which the TSA's enhanced pat-downs are in the news, Wednesday night's episode had Mitchell complaining that Cam's visiting mother from Missouri (with its "very vibrant cowboy poetry scene") was a bit too handsy.

Of course, when he brings up his problem to Claire, she at first teases him for being too uncomfortable with other people being in close proximity, then advises him to show Cam an example of the problem.

Plot details for 'Hangover 2' revealed

Blame it on the mimosas! The plot of the upcoming "The Hangover 2" has been revealed and this time the hijinks begin with a brunch instead of a bachelor party.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the gang from the original "Hangover" – Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis), and Doug (Justin Bartha) – will head to Thailand for Stu's wedding. Instead of celebrating his last days of bachelorhood with a wild blowout, the dentist – who lost a tooth while partying in Sin City in the first film – chooses to take a walk on the mild side.

"After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch," states a press release for the comedy. "However, things don’t always go as planned."

Original 'Buffy' digs movie reboot idea

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon may not agree with Warner Bros.' plan to revamp his classic movie, but it's an idea the 1992 film's leading lady can really sink her teeth into.

"Let Buffy live; why not?" actress Kristy Swanson, 40, tells New York magazine's Vulture. And Swanson, who originated the role of Buffy before Sarah Michelle Gellar took over for the 1997 TV series, says she'd be more than happy to appear in the reboot.

"If they wanted me to be a part of it, I think that would be fantastic and that it would be a blast," says Swanson. "There are die-hard Joss Whedon fans who absolutely love him to death, and rightly so. He’s a brilliant man, no doubt. But I love everything 'Buffy.' I don’t care who’s doing it.”
