Bristol Palin is apologizing for Facebook tirades that she and younger sis Willow wrote after one user of the social networking site criticized their mom's new TLC show, "Sarah Palin's Alaska."
Sixteen-year-old Willow fired the first shot after a school acquaintance named Tre wrote as his status update, "'Sarah Palin's Alaska,' is failing so hard right now."
MTV reports that Willow responded with homophobic slurs, telling him, "Haha your so gay. I have no idea who you are, But what I've seen pictures of, your disgusting ... My sister had a kid and is still hot." The teen then added, "Tre stfu. Your such a f--t."
Next, 20-year-old Bristol chimed in, telling Tre, "You're running your mouth just to talk sh–." A few days later, however, the controversial "Dancing With the Stars" contestant realized that she and her kid sister had overstepped their boundaries.
"Willow and I shouldn't have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize," Bristol wrote on her Facebook page on Wednesday, before thanking fans for backing her own reality-show effort. "On a nicer note, thank you for supporting the great competition in 'Dancing With the Stars.'"
