 Eva Longoria files for divorce from Tony ParkerA day after her reps denied reports that Eva Longoria had filed for divorce from Tony Parker in Texas, the actress set the wheels in motion in California to end her marriage. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Superior Court confirmed to CNN that the “Desperate Housewives” star filed a petition for divorce from her NBA player husband on Wednesday. The pair married three years ago in a ceremony outside of Paris, and Longoria could often be found courtside cheering on her husband, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs. Over the summer, the pair celebrated their anniversary with an Adriatic cruise vacation. A rep for the actress tells CNN that they are "not commenting at this time" on the split.

Disappointing news. I know every marriage, even my own, is entered into with high hopes. Did I mention that I went through a completed divorce, too? It's a tough and emotionally wrenching process. I think Actors are the best prepared folks to deal with it, delving into emotions professionally, so-to-speak, as they do. Studies show it takes about ten years, sometimes, to get past a divorce, emotionally. It's better to take more time getting into a marriage, because of all the time and energies it takes, getting out of a marriage.
Who cares be concerned about the thousand of people who file divorce in th US because the spouse has lost his or her job and can no longer kept their families together because of the economy Stop being upset about The Parkers and care more about The other American Families.

I used to travel quite frequently and several times stayed at the same hotel as an NBA team at the same time. The lobby was filled with woman and, according to the hotel staff, most of players had steady girlfriends. Shaq would treat his girlfriends to a day of shopping (limo, credit card, etc. – no Shaq) and then the driver would make sure they were at the hotel when needed. Not sure any of them are faithful.

If this was the case, I bet the divorce rate would be more around 20-30%. What is wrong with celebrities that they can't maintain their marriages? Too self absorbed to give of yourself? Too fleeting?
