Nick Lachey: I wish Jessica 'the very best'How sweet: Former spouses Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson have nothing but hearty congrats to give one another as they both have become engaged once again. After Lachey, 37, confirmed that he’d popped the question to Vanessa Minnillo last Thursday, Simpson told Ryan Seacrest, “I am extremely, extremely happy for him…I really wish them nothing but the best.” Lachey has offered similar sentiments when asked about 30-year-old Simpson, who was spotted wearing a ruby and diamond engagement ring over the weekend and confirmed on Sunday that her now-fiancé Eric Johnson had asked for her hand.
“I will say the same thing I always say: I wish her the very best,” Lachey told Us Weekly during a conference call about his show, “The Sing-Off.” Lachey also isn’t intending to try and beat Simpson to the altar: He told Us that he and Minnillo, 30, are simply “basking in the glow” of the latest milestone in their relationship. “I'm sure we'll get on the other planning shortly,” he said. “We are now just enjoying this experience." |

I just found it so funny that Nick got engaged and then shortly thereafter Jessica did too. I think she has a need to be in a relationship that goes beyond love and commitment. I give Nick & Vanessa the odds on a lasting relationship. Jessica will be divorced in a few years after her second hubby hears her whining. He should be required to watch the Nick & Jessica show before he marries her, lol.

That dude jogs past my house on occasion. My (now ex) girlfriend laughed in his face as he jogged past. I kinda felt bad for him when she did that. I see him and Vanessa around occasionally. They live up the street.
