Ashton Kutcher, Hilary Swank sign on for 'New Year's Eve'

Ashton Kutcher spent "Valentine's Day" with Garry Marshall, and now he plans to spend "New Year's Eve" with him as well.

The former "That '70s Show" star is set to appear in the director's latest holiday-themed ensemble comedy alongside A-listers including Hilary Swank, Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, "New Year's Eve" tells the story of a group of New Yorkers whose lives intertwine as each struggles with romance on New Year's Eve.

Kutcher stars as a guy who hates the holiday; De Niro will play a bitter man who lay dying in the hospital; Pfeiffer takes on the role of a frazzled executive secretary who decides to finally fulfill her resolutions; and Swank portrays the producer of the Times Square New Year's Eve show.

The film, which also stars Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin, is set to begin shooting in the Big Apple beginning in December.

No offense, but Kutcher was funny in "That 70's Show" and that's about it. He doesn't really have any acting talent. Just look at how his movies have done...err, they haven't done. No matter what A-List celebrity you pair him with, Kevin Costner, Katherine Heigl, Bernie Mac, Cameron Diaz, no movie he has ever done has been a box office smash. Time to hang up acting kid and go back to being Mrs. Demi Moore.
