Charlie Sheen’s incident at the Plaza Hotel in New York last week wasn't the actor's first encounter with bad press.
Yet in the court of public opinion, the verdict seems to be, “So what?!” - and he’s still the highest paid actor on TV.
But Sheen’s long-time friend and fellow actor Tom Sizemore, who was recently on "Celebrity Rehab" battling his own addictions, says he fears for Sheen's life. CNN sat down with him in Los Angeles to get his take on what’s going on with Sheen.
“I don’t want to be a doomsayer, but if he doesn’t get any help it’s just going to get worse,” Sizemore said.
“He could have a crippling heart attack and not die and be a vegetable. He could die. He could...hurt somebody else [while] driving intoxicated.” Sizemore said, adding, “There’s been a series of events here that are very, very worrisome.”
The actor told CNN that both he and Robert Downey Jr., who has struggled with addiction as well, have both reached out to Sheen but he isn’t talking. Sizemore thinks Sheen is in denial, and he wants the troubled star to get help.
But for now, it seems as long as Charlie Sheen keeps showing up for work, and working his on-screen magic, what he does off-screen doesn't matter.
