Katherine Jackson to open up on 'Oprah'

Oprah Winfrey wasn’t joking when she talked about making her final season one to remember.

On Monday, November 8, the queen of talk will feature an interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" with the late King of Pop’s mother, Katherine Jackson.

Mrs. Jackson is expected to speak on the trajectory of her son’s life from childhood to superstardom, as well as the day of his passing in June, 2009.

Michael’s children, Paris, Blanket and Prince, and his father Joe will also appear with Katherine during the interview, which was conducted at the family's Encino, California home.

DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW. IF YOU'RE CURIOUS, WATHC IT ON YOUTUBE AFTER IT AIRS; HURT THIS ROYAL HYPOCRITE WHERE IT MATTERS THE MOST TO HER: RATING$. Why? - Oprah has disappointed so many people with her heartlessnes$. In 1993, MJ granted her an interview and she received the highest ratings of her career and in television history. In 2003-05, she was nowhere to be found when he was tried & ACQUITTED for the baseless charges Santa Barbara D.A. Tom Sneddon concocted - even worse: SHE AIRED AN EPISODE ON PEDOPHILIA THE WEEK THE JURORS WERE DELIBERATING. ... And also in years since MJ granted her that prize interview, $he openly cajoled (taunted) Lisa Marie & mother on her show to ridicule "the thought" that LM married MJ. These are the facts tied to a woman with no appreciation and self-serving ethics. To this day, she has never apologized for the way she treated MJ; instead, now that he is gone, she held a 1-hour special covering her '93 interview of MJ (?!) and offering taped thoughts to her cameraman that included veiled insults about his skin being "translucent and pale" (NO mention that he disclosed to her that he had vitiligo) and 2-3 references to her interview being "before any allegations of child abuse" (just so we know she's squeaky clean, America, wink-wink). ... Many in the Jackson family know this hurt MJ. Randy Jackson, for example (who was the most trusted sibling to MJ during that terrible ordeal, hiring an honest & effective attorney and managing MJ's financial affairs), knows how Oprah treated MJ wrongly & has never taken any accountability for abandoning him and - even worse - fueling suggestions of guilt by airing shows filled w/ innuendo, pandering to her mainstream demographic. Unfortunately, Michael's 80-yr old mum doesn't. There is a thing in the law called "undue influence," but unfortunately at the top where Harpo/Oprah operate, they are held to a different standard: very little. Instead, we would hope they act accountably & with integrity... Unfortunately, NOprah has 1 more rating bonanza 2 get fr MJ (that she can't get on her own star power). Shame on you, Ms. Winfrey. – Santa Barbara, CA

Hello Vincent, I am talking to you because you sound intelligent and can see issues at face value. My only problem with Ms.O is how she seems to attach every interview about Michael Jackson to molestation shows. She did it in 2005 the week of MJ's verdict. She put on 2 shows the week she interviewed Lisa Marie about her marriage to MJ which was on Thursday, on Monday that same week she put a child molester on who had killed his molester and on that Wednesday she had Tyler Perry on telling how he was molested . So on tomorrow Jackie Jackson will be on, but Friday's the show will have 200 molested men on, but ironically on Monday she will have Michael Jackson's parents and his children on. There seem to be a pattern here. I assume she chooses to believe that the judicial system was wrong and her beliefs are correct. If she has a problem with MJ, she should not use his likeness or his legacy or his family to be one of the shows that will better her ratings before she leaves. Something just doesn't sit right with this to me.

Oprah just wants what she got from the MJ interview back in 93 and that's to get the story and leave. She never liked Michael Jackson and she always has a way of painting him in a negative light. I think she needs to stop using her MJ interview footage to gain viewers on her show and stop being fake when it comes to MJ!!!! Stop giving your opinion because you never liked him! Oprah had the power if she wanted to to become his friend but didn't. She thought he was weird and she needs to check herself at the door. I agree with Brittany that the only reason Katherine is doing the interview is so that she can get the truth out. I think Katherine knows that Oprah has never painted him in a good light all those years.

Oprah is fake as Hell, but i will watch anyway because i have respect for the Jackson family and for all those people that say there are better things to worry bout, and disrespecting MJ need to go somewhere else with that BS. The only reason I think the family is talking to Oprah is because they want the truth out there not because of money because Oprah has always talked negative towards MJ and she lead her audience to follow her opinion. yes, i have respect for Oprah but i disagree with her at times. MJ poured his heart out to Oprah about his skin disease but all she ever did after that was insult him. R.I.P. MJ. even though i wish you were still here for your kids, I am happy that you left this world as well because you didn't deserve anything that was thrown at you. p.s. for all you none educated people that don't know what your talking about go to this website http://www.innermichael.com and read the truth. who are we to judge???

Hey, how do you know he took that anesthetic regularly? No one except that ugly nurse who said, AFTER MJ died that he asked her about it BEFORE he died, and Dr. Conrad Murray have indicated MJ's usage. How do YOU know Dr. M. didn't load Michael up with benzodiazopenes and then pump a lethal dose into him? Has there been one other credible reputable source, out of all the crew, musicians, and tour personnel who traveled with MJ for years who has come forward to corroborate past usage of this "anesthetic"? Where's the proof of anything except that Murray took away MJ's life for money.

Dont be an Oprah hater. She has a job just like everyone else whos employed. She is not exploiting people she is informing people, big difference. I dont watch her show on a daily basis but i have seen shows that are very informative. Some even help people. I grew up listening to MJ and i cant wait to see what Katherine has to say. Lovely family. No one is perfect not even celebrity families. I know everyone is voicing their opinion as i am but dont judge people. Do you like to be judged??? I have no comment on the Obama comments, i will keep that opinion to myself.

Funnyme, it's not about "hating on Oprah." i'm so sick of hearing about MJ. Did he hurt those kids, idk, and will never know that's between him and God, i will never support him or his music for the simple fact that there there is ssuch a cloud of doubt. why would someone who spent their whole lives for children, helping children, charties etc, who claims they love children and would never harm one, settle out of court to make an allegation go away. seems to me if you were an adovcate, voice, etc for kids and did nothing wrong, you would think he's fight it all the way and not allow anyone to disperage his good name, work and all he did, not pay someone off. its a matter of principle. for that i will always have doubt and refuse to support him in anyway. he died by his own hand as a junkie, maybe if the people around him cared enough he's be in rehab and alive. or maybe he went out the way he wanted.. high.

Excuse me, Where was the Jackson familiy when for years MJ was becoming a drug addict? Hanging on wallet strings as one person commented. Instead of sueing the Doctors, the Jackson family should be sueing themselves. And the California Child Protective services should be opening a case of Child Neglect against Mrs Jackson.
Now Oprah as a Talk show host, should ask those "Tough" questions, instead of pandering to Mrs Jacksons "Sob" story.
At least when Elvis over dosed himself, he was still creating music. When was the last hit Jackson had before his OD? Years and years before. All the crap coming out as lost material was lost for a reason, it was crap.
He's dead, enjy listening to oldies and leave him dead.

I can't believe there are so many uninformed or misinformedk people out there, considering it's been almost 18 months since Michael left us. His mother is doing what she needs to do because the administrators of his estate have given her NO MONEY except for a living allowance in more than a year. The worst predator in this tale is one Ms. Oprah Winfrey. What she needs to do during this interview is APOLOGIZE to Ms. Jackson for all the nasty, evil, meanspirited things she has dished out about Michael over the years. To Lisa Marie Presley – when did you know he had a drug problem? Did you ever suspect him of molestation? Oprah Winfrey, you need to exorcise your OWN demons rather than pushing them off on other people. Michael Jackson wouldn't and didn't hurt anyone. And he had NO DRUG ADDICTION aside from an issue in 1993 for which he sought help and received it. What other celebrity gave hundreds of millions of dollars to needy causes worldwide. I can't conceive where this BS comes from, aside from being a media creation years ago and UNINFORMED JUST PLAIN IGNORANT PEOPLE both before and after his daeth propogating these lies and falsehoods. Did you watch Michael address the Image Awards in 1994 thanking the worldwide audience for sticking by him and professing his innocence? Did you look into the background of Mad Dog Sneddon, the Santa Barbara prosecutor who vowed to get Michael dead or alive? Sneddon is the perform who should have met his maker last year, not Michael Jackson. Did you hear Michael's address at Oxford University in 2002 speaking on behalf of children's rights worldwide? Did you know that Sony and AEG are making bucketsful of cash off the corpse of a dead man?

Why don't you uninformed, lazy bigots do some research before you further attempt to decimate the legacy of a true man of peace and charity.

Who the heck cares?! Mrs. Jackson is still going to go home and kiss old Joe's butt by funneling MJ's money to him, no matter what she says publically. Not providing Old Joe with a chair was subtle but direct. Unfortunately, Joe doesn't understand subtle. You have to hit the old loser with the chair for him to take a hint. Let the Jackson family fade away-let MJs children grow up in peace and quiet, ignore Joe entirely and just have the memory of MJ's music, if you like his music. Let the rest of this nonsense go away. Remember the tragedy in Haiti if you need something to worry about.

A musical genius yes. A child molester, more than likely. Who gives a damn about his tough life. I am not sympathetic to him or his family. They were all hanging on to his wallet. They all knew what he was doing to children and did nothing to stop it. Go away Jackson family, and stay away. If, and that if is very unlikely, he never abused any of his accusers then he was a moron for putting himself in a position to be accused of doing so.

Here we go with another idiot who only speaks about speculation and things you know nothing about. People always hate on the people better than they are. If Michael Jackson was guilty he would have been found guilty in a court of law, but he wasn't. It was clear that the only people after his wallet was his accusers. You are more likely to be a pediphile than Michael was. It's always the nobody's saying dumbest things. Don't hate because that man and his family made it to where they set their minds to and you just keep seem to keep coming up short in your life.

You also must realize that if you have considerable wealth you can block people out of your life that you either find threatening or that you don't want to deal with. From accounts I have read, he blocked his family out regarding his drug usage and perhaps also with other issues. All of us living in the normal world don't comprehend this.

There is saying that states:"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" and here it fits to a tee. Vincent, et al, say that Michael was found innocent of the charges and yet he ignores, because it obviously doesn't fit his agenda, that he paid a Philipne boy 30 millions for the same sins that he was accused and found innocent. O.J. was also found innocent, but that doesn't mean he didn't do it and the same happened with the last pedophile case. With O.J., blacks were just getting some pay back time for the lynchings of blacks by whites and the whites were left go free. Most likely, the jurors were with MJ from the beginning and just because he was "found innocent" doesn't mean that he was innocent. It just means that because of the skeletons on the accuser, the bit about beyond reasonable doubt played a big part, but if he was innocent, then I'm superman. This forum looks like a "christian" Bible study, where everybody gets to cherry pick the items he/she wants to pick and by being selective the truth goes overboard. Had MJ been a priest, he would have been found guilty as charged, regardless of the facts. Most lawyers go after the money, not the truth and there lies the problem with the "justice" system of this frail "democracy" of ours. Let me pull a Clinton here: Define justice.

Please read the facts about the case and not just news reports which only give half of the story if that. Because after reading the case anyone with half a brain can see that they were only out to extort money from MJ. Yes he was eccentric but that was it. Please stop spreading lies until you know all the facts because if you did know ALL of the facts then you wouldn't be saying things like that (unless your just a hater).

Why are you even commenting on this thread if you don't care about his life? Who are you to judge him? You are not God. He was FALSELY ACCUSED. Do you people ever ask yourself when it comes the child molestation allegations: if Michael supposedly molested these boys, why did they go to a lawyer instead of report to the police first? Why are they suing for millions of dollars? If it were my child no amount of money in the world is going to matter I want him in jail. No one seems to ask these questions. Instead some people are so stupid that they rather listen to what the media says!

I am glad to see the Jackson family doing a little better and being able to come out and talk about the tragedy that happened last year. Mrs. Jackson is a solid rock and even a strong-willed woman such as herself needs time to air out how she feels. As always the Jackson family is in my prayers.

This is typical of America today. The masses paying attention to trivia pursuit about a family that in reality was not a regular family, because regular families don't have so many skeletons in their closets and this is going on while America burns and tea partiers, republicans are the new Neros. What part of no jobs don't they understand? What part of a second great depression don't they understand? Sould'nt Oprah spend the last bullets in trying to solve America's problems, instead of taking us through a maze of futility and banality?

1st off, Oprah is not the President of the United States. She is a talk-show host. Her job is to bring interesting people and stories to her show and talk about it. If you care so much the economy and jobs, then go out and vote today if you haven't already. Stop hating on the Jackson family just because you are a nobody and when you die, no one will care but MAYBE your family. All families, especially regular families, have skeletons in their closet. That's called being a human being and not being perfect. Don't be so judgmental. Now that's typical of America today......always judging.

There are plenty of 'regular' families out here with skeletons in their closets. You just don't see or hear about them because they are not public figures. I agree with you that our country has a lot more pressing and important issues going on that should demand our attention instead of being over jealous about celebrity lives, but, I just had to comment about the 'regular' part. Pedophiles, rapists, incest survivors, drug addicts, etc....are always part of someones regular family.

@ mobrule – Oh and because she SUPPOSEDLY is pulling his strings, she's also expected to shoulder our current economic troubles? That sounds a bit far fetched don't you think? What are YOU doing to help anyone that's in need?

My 1st response was meant to go under Zola's reply. Agree Americans/ American mass media puts tooooo muuuuch importance on entertainment/celeberties – because it sells. Americans suck it up. Amer. Mass Media makes $$$, but at a price for the Amer. people.
Every family has some skeletons in the closet.
As for Oprah – thank god she's leaving mainstream TV. Oprah is very egotistical/self-serving, explanation point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's gotten rich exploiting other peoples' misfortunes all in name of stroking her ego,"power" and $$$ gain.

I agree with Vincent. Oprah is a talk show host, not the President of the United States. I'm tired of some people constantly standing on their soap box and preaching about how we should focus on more important issues on an ENTERTAINMENT news section and on what is obviously a TALK SHOW. Oprah is just giving to the audience what they want to know and hear, that's part of her job as a talk show host, get over it.

You're stupid, stop ranting on here about politics. Get out and freaking vote to get your voice heard. She isn't the freaking president, if you don't like her then don't watch her show.

I will definitely watch this! I think Miichael Jackson's Mom has as been very quite about everything that went on (which she had a right to be) it will be nice to hear what she has to say.

You need to appreciate the context before ignorantly falling under this media wiz's spell; with the facts, any rational mind would conclude that NO ONE SHOULD WATCH THIS HYPOCRITE'S AIRING OF THIS SHOW. IF YOU'RE SO CURIOUS, DO THE RIGHT THING AND DON'T GIVE HER WHAT SHE WANTS: RATING$. WATCH IT ON YOUTBUE AFTERWARDS IF YOU REALLY MUST. Why? – Oprah has disappointed so many people with her heartlessnes$. In 1993, MJ granted her an interview and she received the highest ratings of her career and in television history. In 2003-05, she was nowhere to be found when he was tried & ACQUITTED for the baseless charges Santa Barbara D.A. Tom Sneddon concocted – even worse: SHE AIRED AN EPISODE ON PEDOPHILIA THE WEEK THE JURORS WERE DELIBERATING. Randy Jackson, for example (who was the most trusted sibling to MJ during that terrible ordeal, hiring an honest & effective attorney and managing MJ's financial affairs), knows how Oprah treated MJ wrongly & has never taken any accountability for abandoning him and – even worse – fueling suggestions of guilt by airing shows filled w/ innuendo, pandering to her mainstream demographic.
