Fergie: I have trust in my relationshipThat confidence Fergie exudes onstage is no act. In the latest issue of Glamour, the singer opens up about believing in herself as well as her marriage. Read the full interview with Fergie The former child star and current member of the Black Eyed Peas is no stranger to seeing her name in the headlines, but things took a turn for the worse in the fall of 2009, when her 10-month marriage to actor Josh Duhamel, 37, was rocked by rumors of infidelity.
So how did Fergie – aka Stacy Ferguson – get through it? "Just knowing that our relationship was stronger than that," she told Katie Couric, who conducted her Glamour interview. "We live in a voyeuristic world, and it’s part of our business. But I like to [focus on] all the perks that I get in this business.” That includes making music, helping charities for AIDS and cancer, and being named a Glamour Woman of the Year. More photos from Fergie's cover shoot Speaking of women, 35-year-old Fergie – who wears a Sonia Rykiel dress and Christian Louboutin heels inside the magazine's pages - says she isn't bothered by the female fans who flock to her husband. “For me, I’m not a jealous person. That’s just not my thing," she said. "You have to have trust in your relationship." You also have to trust in yourself, she added. "Basically, there were periods of my life when a lot of people didn’t believe in me," she explained. "[But] I still had faith in myself. I really had to ask myself life questions. Where do I see myself in five years? Create a ladder for yourself, and walk up the steps. Climb that ladder."
