A creepy, kooky 'Modern Family'

This Halloween saw some members of our favorite TV family down in the dumps, on Wednesday night's "Modern Family."

First of all, Phil was convinced that Claire was on the verge of divorcing him after he spoke to a newly separated friend. He didn't seem to notice any warning signs: "I'm a monogamous social drinker and Claire only sleep-hits me." Still, he kept looking for reassurance from Claire, but it was not forthcoming as his Halloween-obsessed wife wanted the perfect display for the neighborhood kids.

The witch for Claire's display, Gloria, wasn't happy either. Jay continued to harp on her broken English ("Carpal tunnel syndrome is not carpool tunnel syndrome"), so she responded by arriving for trick-or-treating festivities while adapting an overly-proper, enunciated manner of speech. Phil's characteristic reaction: "Did she just get back from the dentist?"

Behind-the-scenes with 'The Sound of Music' cast, 45 years later

On the first day of filming “The Sound of Music,” Julie Andrews taught the seven von Trapp children how to sing “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” As “Mary Poppins” hadn’t arrived in theaters yet, the young actors thought she was “genius.”

At that time, Andrews wasn’t the Academy Award-winning actress she is today – she was a 28 year old Broadway singer who had just made her first film and was ready to tackle her second. Fortunately, the second film would propel her into stardom.

“It made my career,” Andrews said on "The Oprah Show" today. “It was that big of a movie.”

'Mike & Molly' creator reacts to Marie Claire controversy

The creator of the hit CBS show “Mike & Molly” has weighed in on the controversy surrounding a Marie Claire blogger’s remarks about the show and overweight people.

Mark Roberts told The Hollywood Reporter that he feels “protective” of the show’s stars, Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy, who portray an overweight couple who meet at Overeaters Anonymous and fall in love.

“Clearly, she realized she said some pretty hateful things,” Roberts said. “My initial reaction is she's talking about [Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy] and I love them.”

OWN logo unveiled to negative reviews

The Oprah Winfrey Network doesn't launch until January 1, but already it's stirring up controversy. The channel's official OWN logo was unveiled yesterday to mostly negative reviews.

The neon-sign-like logo is made up of big, bright letters, with a reddish-orange-yellowy "O," a lime green "W," and almost glowing purple "N."

Huffington Post readers commented that the logo resembles an art project crafted by a grammar-school student yet also seems quite appropriate as signage for a Las Vegas strip club.

David Beckham won't talk about the birds and the bees

He may be one of the sexiest men on the planet, but David Beckham doesn't want to talk about it. Sex, that is.

The soccer star admits he was horrified to discuss the birds and the bees with his 11-year-old son Brooklyn, so he let wife Victoria do the honors.

"We've had the talk with Brooklyn. It was more Victoria than me," the 35-year-old father of three revealed on Ryan Seacrest's radio show yesterday. "I had to walk out of the room because Brooklyn was sort of looking at me through the corner of his eye and laughing. I was thinking, 'I need to get out of here because this is a serious talk.' I was very uncomfortable."
