Our boy Leonard is back in the game – sort of.
On Thursday night’s “Big Bang Theory,” we saw Leonard breaking out of his dry spell with women by hooking up with Raj’s sister, Priya, who I hope we get to see more of in future episodes. We quickly learn that she is not at all shy like her big brother.
She was definitely far from shy as she grabbed Leonard in the hallway and proceeded to lay a big smooch on him, continuing the pattern of hookups established five years ago.
[SPOILER WARNING: Don't read any further if you want no knowledge of the plot to "Tron: Legacy."]
If the official "Tron: Legacy" poster, reminiscent of the original, wasn't enough to get fans excited, Disney gave a sneak peek of the film in select theaters worldwide on Thursday night. The 23 minutes of scenes from the first half of the film were a feast for the eyes, especially when seen in IMAX 3D.
At the screening, fans saw enough to follow the story of Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the son of "Tron's" hero Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), who is accidentally placed "on the grid" within a video game, where his father has been for 20 years. (For those not familiar with the original "Tron," it seems like the script does a good job of bringing you up to speed.)
It turns out that Kevin has been living in a safehouse for all those years, and he doesn't seem "all there" at this point.
Despite the fact that Betty White has “enjoyed the opposite sex a lot,” she says other people shouldn’t have to follow suit.
“I don’t care who anybody sleeps with,” White told Parade. “If a couple has been together all that time - and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones - I think it’s fine if they want to get married.”
“I don’t know how people can get so anti-something,” she added. “Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.”
While the plot details of the fourth "Mission: Impossible" movie remain top secret, Tom Cruise has no problem giving up the film's official title.
At a press conference with cast mates Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton at the Doha Film Festival in Dubai yesterday, Cruise – who plays super agent Ethan Hunt in the franchise - revealed that the movie's moniker will have a bit of an unexpected twist, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
"One of the things I always wanted for the franchise was for it not to have a number afterward," the 48-year-old actor, who is in talks to star in a film adaptation of the Broadway musical "Rock of Ages," told reporters.
CNN anchors John Roberts and Kyra Phillips have some big news for Marquee readers: the couple are expecting twins.
"Kyra and John are very happy and excited about the pending birth of their twins," a CNN rep said in a statement. The special additions are expected to debut in the spring.
The duo began dating in December 2008 and got engaged last April, when "American Morning's" Roberts, 53, proposed to "CNN Newsroom's" Phillips, 42, at West Virginia's Greenbrier Resort hotel.
“He definitely knows the way to my heart and that’s through golf,” Phillips has said.
Kenny Powers may not be headed back to Major League Baseball any time soon, but television’s favorite foul-mouthed, mullet-rocking bad boy will be on HBO’s roster for another year.
In an announcement from HBO that comes over a month after the network gave its new series, “Boardwalk Empire,” a second season, both “Eastbound and Down” and “Bored to Death” were picked up for their third seasons, according to Variety.
Starring Danny McBride, who also co-produces the series along with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, “Eastbound and Down” follows the hilarious and often delusional life and times of Kenny Powers, a former pitching star who some have called cable television’s fictional version of John Rocker. With linear plays, DVR viewings and on-demand requests, “Eastbound and Down” nets about 4.9 million viewers a week.
