Betty White: 'I’ve always liked older men'

Despite the fact that Betty White has “enjoyed the opposite sex a lot,” she says other people shouldn’t have to follow suit.

“I don’t care who anybody sleeps with,” White told Parade. “If a couple has been together all that time - and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones - I think it’s fine if they want to get married.”

“I don’t know how people can get so anti-something,” she added. “Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.”

The 88-year-old pin-up girl also said, despite her sexual desire, she won’t enter cougar-ville.

“I’ve always liked older men. They’re just more attractive to me. Of course, at my age there aren’t that many left,” she joked.

White also told the magazine how she maintains her bod:

“I have a two-story house and a bad memory, so I’m up and down those stairs all the time,” she said. “That’s my exercise.”

Betty is a national treasure. Besides her wonderful acting in the Mary Tyler Moore Show and Golden Girls (my personal favorite) she was great on the game shows in the 60s and 70s. She's very smart, witty and always has a twinkle in her eyes. We should all aspire to be the kind of person she is.

Hey guys, let's chip in for we older men. I will be 94 next month, have been married for 62 years, and we both live happy, joyfilled lives. And yep, who has not watched the Golden Girls without having a great time.

There's a saying that....over time people don't remember what others say or what others do...but they remember how they make them feel. And Betty White makes me feel pretty damn good. She's a true treasure.

And what she said about minding your own business and tending to your affairs...that's the best bit of advise someone could give. Don't worry about other people. That's one thing that's wrong with the world today...too much meddling. If it doesn't concern you, then mind your own damn business!

Betty White for Minnesota Quarterback Brett Farve stinks. I know defense would be great on protecting Betty White. I would break a leg for her . Brett should retire. Betty White don't retire ever.

I've always loved Betty White! She's a great inspiration, and loaded with common sense. “Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much” is great advice. She had a remarkable love story of her own, done wonderful acting work, and devotes herself to her charities such as animal rescues. I agree with the doc above, though - there are a lot of women in our own neighborhoods with the same kind of zest for life and the same great life wisdom...it is just easier to fix on Betty because (luckily) we can invite her into our homes as often as we like via the miracle of video tape!!!

I just have to say that I think Betty White is such an awesome entertainer. TRUE STORY, I watch Golden Girls every Monday right after I get out of work until I go to sleep. Grant it, I do my daily work outs but as I am running, I am watching my girls. I'm a loyal Betty White and Golden Girls fan! :)

This woman has (not had) a stellar career. It's hard to pick which of her characters is the best, so will just continue to watch Hot in Cleveland to see if Elke turns out as great as Sue Ann Nivens and Rose Nyland.

I agree with someone above – I would MUCH rather see Betty in the news for ANY reason then the talentless hacks like Lindsay, Paris, the Kardashians, etc. Betty is still kickin ass, taking names AND donating to charities. We should have our children looking up to Betty and her ilk, not the wastelands that are "popular" now.

    Live forever, Betty!

Betty is great fun to watch.

I'd like, however, to remind everyone that there are many Betty's out there. As a MD I see many 80 year olds daily and many are with fantastic sense of humor and outlook on life. They are all blessings–80 year olds, that is.
