The "Showbiz Tonight" team was up late last night and back up bright and early this morning getting the latest on whether or not Lindsay Lohan was headed back to jail.
Late last night, the emails and phone calls were flying as we tried to figure out if Lindsay left the Betty Ford clinic after a 24 day stay. This morning we confirmed she'd checked out of rehab and was headed to court to face off with the judge.
"Showbiz Tonight's" Kareen Wynter was live at the L.A. courthouse and said there was a feeding frenzy as photographers tripped over themselves when Lohan showed up 30 minutes early. In the end, though, the judge handed down an order for more rehab until January 3.
But there's another breaking story today, and that's Mel Gibson's bad break. "Showbiz Tonight" just recently learned that the actor was aiming to make a comedy cameo in the sequel to “The Hangover," but early this morning the "Showbiz Tonight" confirmation team learned that cast members put the kibosh on Mel’s role.
So he's been axed from the film, but what’s the real story? And which “Hangover” star was linked to Mel’s brand new mess? We’ll tell you - and make sure to vote in the "Showbiz Tonight" poll: Was it unfair to dump Mel from "Hangover 2?"
In other news, the racy “Glee” photo shoot has sparked a brand new controversy today, a bombshell debate over stars taking it all off for magazines. Kim Kardashian, the stars of “True Blood” and now the girls of “Glee” have stripped down in photo spreads, but are they crossing the line from sexy to scandalous? And which photo spread is the most scandalous of them all?
We'll reveal that and more live at 5 p.m. ET today on "Showbiz Tonight," still the most provocative entertainment news show at 11 p.m. ET on HLN.
