Like Wolowitz, we also missed Bernadette.
The return of Howard Wolowitz’s former girlfriend made me smile, especially since she's clearly meant to fill the “dizzy blonde” territory that's quickly being vacated by Penny.
“Big Bang Theory” manages to get a lot of mileage out of the gang’s dysfunctional love lives, and I like the balance between the sleazy Wolowitz and the dude just longing to have something more meaningful than cybersex with a “hot troll.”
The fantasy scenes were all about getting to what the Bangers (that’s what I call the die-hard "BBT" fans, so get your mind out of the gutter) really wanted to see this episode: guest appearances by George Takei and Katee Sackoff.
Will “Star Trek” and “Battlestar Galactica” fans ever be able to view the stars the same after they showed up in Howard’s bedroom as he tried to enjoy some alone time? I must admit that Takei and that voice creeped me out just a tad, though as a pair they were perfect as the devil and angel battling to advise Wolowitz on how to proceed with his lady love.
I'm also glad the mystery of why the couple broke up was finally revealed. Now if we could only get a glimpse of Wolowitz's mother... I know, I know, it's much better that she remains just "the voice."
Overall a fun episode, though I really wish Leonard could get more face time. I mean, is it fair that the dude loses his woman AND his status as one of the main stars of the show? Who does he have kill to get a storyline these days?
What did you think about this week’s “Big Bang Theory”?
