More actors join 'Breaking Dawn' as vampires

Here's some fang-tastic news for "Twilight" fans: Summit Entertainment has announced the names of the actors who will make up the Amazonian, Egyptian, Irish and Romanian vampire covens as well as the European and American nomads in the upcoming "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" films.

Other than former "Pushing Daisies" star Lee Pace, who will play American nomad Garrett, the new batch of actors are relatively unknown.

The Amazon Coven, who have lived outside of civilization for centuries, is comprised of Tracey Heggins ("Brothers and Sisters") as Senna and Judi Shekoni (the UK's "EastEnders") as Zafrina.

The Egyptian Coven, which consider themselves family, includes Omar Metwally ("Rendition") as Amun, Andrea Gabriel ("Lost") as Kebi, Rami Malek ("Night at the Museum") as Benjamin and Angela Sarafyan ("The Good Guys") as Tia.

The young, non-vegetarian Irish Coven is made up of Marlane Barnes ("The Tree of Life") as Maggie, Lisa Howard as Siobhan and Patrick Brennan as Liam.

The Romanian Coven, which ruled until the Italian Volturi unseated them, features Noel Fisher ("Final Destination 2") as Vladimir and Guri Weinberg ("Munich") as Stefan.

Besides the aforementioned Pace, the American nomads – aka vampires who wander the world – include Toni Trucks ("Music and Lyrics") as Mary, Bill Tangradi ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") as Randall, Erik Odom as Peter and Valorie Curry ("Veronica Mars") as Charlotte. Joe Anderson ("The Crazies") will portray misanthropic European nomad Alistair.

Part 1 of the "Twilight" finale will be released in theaters on November 18, 2011, with the follow-up arriving November 16, 2012.

My favorite part of this whole thing is that Robert Pattinson was referred to as Robert Paterson.

Uh, Stephanie Meyer is not a good author, and the easiest way to see that is to read more books and compare writing styles. The stories are remarkably similar to the Vampire Diaries (which were written first, it's not just a tv show). Also, the storyline is an allegory for the Mormon faith, which is not necessarily a bad thing, as these books are teaching young girls not to drink (Cullens don't drink blood, Mormons don't drink alcohol, or even caffeine), Don't have $ex until marriage (another strong Mormon ideal, which the bulk of the rest of Christianity lets slide), and there are many other comparisons that can be made with stories in the book of mormon. Stephanie Meyer is herself a Mormon, educated at BYU, and it's not like she's trying to cram her religion down our throats, but it's interesting to know that it is there.

My beef with the books is that the resolution is the biggest anti-climactic letdown ever. Two powerful armies of vampires and werewolves facing off... and then they just go off on their own way, the Volturi to continue their evil practices, and the Cullens to live in peace while turning a blind eye when they had the chance to stop it. Lame.

Good. Now you won't have to waste a week of your life reading the books. You should be thankful.

I believe the demographic that this was intended for is young girls, around 15. I myself, haven't been 15 in a long time, but still appreciate the books. Stephenie Meyer, in my opinion, is a very good writer but her lack of experience writing does shine through slightly in her books. Too much detail in some places, and far too little in others. It is the emotional bond she allows you to form with the characters that is refreshing. I also believe that comparisons between JK Rowling is unfair based upon the fact that neither one of these women has anything in common, and write about completely different subjects. As for that Stephen King quote that someone threw out there, I'm sorry Mr. King...but you are no Keats.

Of course I'm no John Keats. He wrote romantic poetry in the 1800's. I write contemporary horror stories. That's like saying a microwave is no Ford Taurus. You obviously had no idea who Keats was and just threw his name out to seem like an intellectual. But then again, your admission of enjoying Twilight disproved that from the get go. OOGIE BOOGIE!

Before anyone begins to bash Twilight, you have to look at how much money they movies are making. They're creating such a big industry and bringing in money that will probably help all the other movie busts. They're also giving teens a way out of Reality.

I'm a Harry Potter fan (as are most people) but HPFans sometimes take it a little too far. Yes...they can be creepy. Yes, they can overdo it at times. That doesn't give anyone the right to bash a series solely because they "don't like it". People HATE Harry Potter, but do you hear them complaining about it? NO! They are at least mature enough to keep silent about it, or keep it to themselves! Twilight isn't a terrible series, you just have the people who read for reading's sake, the people who read because they like it, the people who love it, and the people who are obsessed with it. IT'S THE SAME THING WITH HARRY POTTER! How long has 'Twilight' been around? How long has 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone' been around?!

Take some time to think what you say through. IT'S A BOOK.

cheefsfury, i can understand your hate and frustration with the series, as everyone has a right to their own opinion, HOWEVER with that said if you want it to "die" it wont because you keep it alive by commenting and saying anything about whether its negative or positve. these comments amaze me! all the hate for something that is not real, just something for pure entertainment regardless of who wrote it or what is about. hahahaha have a good one people!
