Tina Fey heads back to 'SNL' for primetime special

"30 Rock" star Tina Fey is returning to her old stomping grounds for an upcoming "Saturday Night Live" primetime special.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fey – who won a Creative Arts Emmy for portraying Sarah Palin in several 2008 specials – will join pals and fellow alums Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch for "The Women of SNL," a two-hour special that will air November 1 on NBC from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Besides a roundup of clips from seasons past, the show will also feature brand-new skits starring funny ladies who have been part of the 35-year-old series' cast, including Laraine Newman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Nora Dunn, Ana Gasteyer, Molly Shannon, Cheri Oteri, Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig.

Hmm… how about a "DWTS" sketch featuring Fey as Palin and Wiig as daughter Bristol? Stay tuned…

You know what's old and stale...SNL criticism. Sure not all things hit their mark...but there is funny stuff. To say, SNL hasn't been funny for so long...well how do you know? You have to watch it to actually know it.

SNL hasn't been funny for so long....it's nearly unbearable to watch.
It's amazing how much we've lowered our standards for comedy in this country.

As long as she does Palin again, I am happy. That bit never gets old! But she is such a talented women – so happy she found success.

You're an idiot. The whole Sarah Palin thing was old the second time she did it. This chick is way past her 15 minutes and need to just go away.

I figured that she would be doing the Christine O'Donnell impersonation next. The Palin impersonation is getting old and O'Donnell is fresh meat. Oh, and Portalpunk, you are nasty.

Wow...Monday Nov. 1st? That's "random". You wouldn't by chance be trying to influence the elections on Tuesday, would you SNL? Isn't that special...

Hahaha what? Are you seriously trying to claim that Saturday Night Live is trying to influence elections? What are you, simple?

Also RE: the article – it's "stamping grounds," not "stomping grounds."
