Stephenie Meyer 'excited' about 'Breaking Dawn' castingThe news that 9-year-old Mackenzie Foy was joining the cast of "Breaking Dawn" as Renesmee began circulating last week, as other stars like "Lost's" Maggie Grace, Mia Maestro and Christian Camargo signed on to play vamps in the two-part continuation of the "Twilight" saga. But with a Facebook post on Wednesday evening, "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer has officially welcomed Foy on board. "Very excited about our new Renesmee, Mackenzie Foy," Meyer wrote, after extending a congrats to the "Twilight" Facebook fan page, which has 15 million fans. "She's an amazing young actress and I'm excited to work with her," Meyer continued.
Foy - who "FlashForward" fans may recall from the episode "Blowback" that aired in March - will play the half-vamp, half-human daughter of Robert Pattinson's Edward and Kristen Stewart's Bella. According to Entertainment Weekly, word on the street is that director Bill Condon is planning on using a little "Curious Case of Benjamin Button" movie magic to pull off the rapid development of Foy's character by digitally transferring her face onto the face of a younger child. The first part of "Breaking Dawn" arrives in theaters November 18, 2011.

I believe that Mackenzie will be awesome as nessie. I cant wait for the movie to come out. The only thing i dont like is that Jacob imprints on her. im so jealous!! She is a very lucky little girl!!
