Who's seeing 'The Social Network' this weekend?Are you heading out to see "The Social Network" this weekend? If so, you can now send in your movie review with just a single photo! Buddybook is so damn dumb...
Excellent movie! Not only for the exceptional acting, the movie gets you from start to end wanting more and it's very inspiring. It is just sad to see what money can make people do to others. I read above its a legit american story, I'm not american, so shame on you americans...
Husband and I saw the film yesterday. Left feeling inspired! Mark is highly talented and I wish him continued success! As for the twins, not sure how to take them, seems like they cry too much. Feel bad for eduardo and hope he got what he wanted.
Im not sure how much of the movie was true or exaggerated but it made mark zuckerburg seem like a dork and a jerk. I couldnt get over the character justin timberlake played just didnt fit well because i just kept thinking thats justin timberlake... trying to act. In all it was a great film, intregging, and funny. Great acting except JT, the pop industry misses you.
First, all of ypu who have not seen the movie, but are saying it is stupid, bad, etc., should rethink offering opinions on something you know nothing about. Go see it and you have a right to judge it.
As for judging the people the movie is about, that is another matter. But still remember that vitriolic rhetoric is seldom taken seriously and usually makes you look worse than those you are spewing it about.
In this day of lax standards on just about everything know that your opinion carries more weight if you have a basic command of English grammar. And bother to use it.
Hey, everyone has a right to an opinion but why are so many people spending precious time saying hateful things about other human beings instead of trying to have a shred of compassion or empathy.

I'm finally happy the twins are getting the positive recognition they deserve. Knew mark wasn't good from day one. Yeah he has fb. But they graduated from Harvard and went to the Olympics. What now.
I hearing and reading a lot of good reviewsm I just want to get some ideas how this ideas would work to a person which is not a real blogger at all.
Non of the comments, thumbs ups or critics are gonna stop Facebook fenomenom. It's here to stay (good or bad) kids communicate with/thru it and lots of parents & grandpas dipped in in order to try to be in touch with a genetation pure digital. Facebook and sms is the way thr internact (good or bad) but is a reallity. Just watch the kids on the streets! They text or post things even if they are at 4 feet. Don't hate or love it... Just digest it... it's that simple. Is like we where talking about how the cellphone will or will not succeed in the 90".
It's am awesome movie, it's a must see for all the bloggers like me, who are into similar shoes like Mark in the movie. Ideas are many it's just got to come at the right time!.
Another overhyped pile! People need to stop drinking the koolaide, the facts in this film are completely messed up! Awful acting, halfassed camera work, just awful all around. A film that acts like napster, myspace and facebook made the Internet... Please!! All fads, people running these things have no idea what they are doing nor did the people who made this film.

I went last night and was entertained quite well. The twins were stupid for nor having him sign a contract, but ended up with a nice settlement. Edwardo got screwed in the end. I hope he got a good settlement for his part of my FB addiction. At least I stopped the stupid farmville, but i can keep track of people I list after high school. Good movie!
Really GREAT film, masterfully told. You're an idiot if you hate it before you've even seen it. Here's a genius who gave the world what it desperately wanted BEFORE anyone knew what it wanted. It was amazing to see a young man make a Billion by giving it all away. Absolutely incredible story. Baby you're a rich man too....

And yes, since you are intellectually challenged, I might point out that money is for use here on Earth. One may not take it with him for use in death.
You could just go hang out with your 'friends' or talk to them on the phone. Makes a bit more sense.
And why praise a billionaire? It's not like he's helping you or anyone else out. Rich people should get on their knees, pray and put that $$$$$ to humanitarian use. No reason for one person to have that much money all to themselves while there's people being put out on the street because they can't pay their bills, children going hungry and people who need medical care but can't get it because they can't pay the greedy doctors.

I thought it was a great film. I love Aaron Sorkin's writing style...the way he creates dialog between characters a la West Wing. You have to actually think and keep up with the conversation to appreciate the movie. Very impressive debut for him.

Exellent film. The movie moves at a blistering pace and still manages to be fully captivating. Mark and Sean's relationship around Facebook was incredibly interesting. The lawsuit deposition scenes set the story up perfectly. Mark Zuckerberg may be the most interesting story of our generation.
I thought the movie was pretty good. Based on the info from the movie, I feel that Mark doesn't owe those other people anything. The twins should have had Mark sign something at the very beginning of the partnership. They're dumb for not doing so. Go see the movie.

Let me say it was okay .. might be little more fascinating to elderly and teenagers.
Its a real world story with one original idea, no social impact, and 2 hours of nerdiness which I anyways see around me all the time

For those of you who think Facebook has blocked our communication lines, your wrong. It has only increased them. I talk to old friends I have not seen since high school and keep in touch with people I cannot see regularly thanks to Facebook. Ya moms are getting it too... so what . Are you not a family person. Do u not have fun with your family or are you so self-centered and only care about what others think because your mom or dad is on Facebook. Grow up. I honestly would have no idea what my entire graduating class is doing today or be able to talk one of my best friends in Germany daily and catch up on him playing professional basketball via Facebook by messaging and videos. Who cares if everyone on earth has Facebook , that just means we can all stay connected a little easier now.
I think online marketing mediators keep adding positive comments because no one who has taste thinks this movie will be good.It looks dull, it's sad too because the director is amazing and has great films under his belt.I think marketing-wise they cast a huge net with their advertising buys blanketing billboards and the internet. I just don't care enough to sit through 2 hrs of zuckerburg.they're assuming because a lot of people are on fb a lot of people will see the movie. The real story seems dull and they're trying to sell the subplots. Lame. Lame. Lame.

This movie is confusing the general public based on biased ideas. The movie has approx. less than 5% factual content. Concider the release date and remember the Blare Witch movie. Pure b.s. Are writers in hollywood so desperate, that now we're gonna see a boatload of movies depicting everyday ideas and not pass them off as 2 hour advertisements... gesh.. What's next, the Sam Walton come-up!

Personally, I think facebook is terrible. It's just another excuse not to actually interact with people. If it's your thing, I understand, but I remember when facebook was just for college students. Now, peoples' moms are using facebook. How lame is that? I do agree that it changed the landscape of social media, but I don't believe it's a good thing.

The story line is admittedly fake. The general concept of the movie is grounded in reality but there is a lot of fiction.

You don't have to like or dislike Facebook to enjoy the story and the effort that went into the film. I am not on facebook, but I intend on seeing the movie. Like it or not, Facebook has helped change the Internet from a one way push of information to a two way exchange of social dialogue. It's worthy of a film and anyone who trashes it publically without having seen it first i believe is short

Brilliantly stated. The movie has one of the best adapted screenplays of all time that was shot by one of modern times' most detail oriented directors, it is an astounding film. You don't have to even know what Facebook is to enjoy the film, it's pacing is ferocius and the acting is top notch in a story about power struggles. Phenomonal film, lock for a best picture nom.

This is a movie about a guy that can't meet girls the traditional way..trying to make computers all cool and nerds getting rich... Making it like it was a great story with lots of drama.that was no great invention! Its a photo album online for god sakes! I saw this movie already and it was called Revenge of the Nerds. Trent Reznor must be hard up for cash.
Trent Reznor is a has-been. Which is sad to say since NIN was once one of my very favorite acts.
I was surprised. Great film. A must see. Especially for those who facebook. Personally, I do not. The cast was great. Trent Reznor I thought knocked it out of the park as far as musical score. The acting was superb. A true american story. An idea becomes an ideal. Which than becomes a brand and of course a lot of money. And friends who you thought were friends, aren't friends. Great story, well depicted, well made. Good show, worth checking out.

I was a skeptic, dragged to the movie. The story was told brilliantly, and the actors were at their best....extremely impressive. For those with a chip on their shoulders about Facebook, I understand, but don't let it keep you from seeing just a great movie for the entertainment value. The funny one-liners also had the (full) theater totally laughing. Just brilliant stuff.

Saw this movie two weeks ago at an advance screening, it is amazing. Great script, great score, and great direction. I havent been on facebook in over 4 years... I still loved this movie. David Fincher directing, and Trent Reznor scoring, how can you go wrong?
Just go see it for yourself, not to be missed. Even though I got to see it for free, I might actually pay to see it again in theatres.

Andrew Garfield was truly remarkable in this film. He was so expressive and reactive in every moment of the film. He never just jumps to the line there's always some kind of reaction that occurs within his body whether it be a facial tick or a gesture. I cant wait to see him in Spider-Man, even though at first I was against the idea.
Movie was brilliant! Amazing script. Cast knocks it out of the park. Andrew Garfield is the exceptional stand out. Breathing and Alive in every moment of the film. First film ever on red cameras. Every shot is like eye candy. Incredibly fast paced, leaves you wanting more. Trent Reznor's score squeezes tense moments to their maximum and makes computer programming look like rockstar sh!t. Cant wait to see it again.

Just so u know if it does do 22 million that's pretty good for a movie in october and it will.probably do.really good considering it apeals say I don't know 500 million people and then there is also the justin timberlake fans also, and I've seen it and its excellent some of the best writing in a film in a long time.

This sounds like a great classic story about an overprivileged jerk who burns a ton of bridges in the pursuit of money and fame. I bet all you 35+ types with chips on your shoulders about these darned kids with their darned internets these days would be flocking to see this if it didn't center on the founder of Facebook. Great movie. Instant fan of Mark. Watching the movie made me angry because he is a genius who obviously can't defend himself physically to the 6'5" crew brothers and everyone else who wanted a piece. Made me think he needs someone to look out for him. Like a body guard. Not to immasculste Mark in any way but some people do not have the height or weight or strength.
