"Community" came back on Thursday night and none too soon. Right off the bat, we got another little peek into our favorite study group's lives by seeing each of their bedrooms, "Royal Tenenbaums"-style. Pop culture-obsessed Abed has a wall of DVDs and movie posters, Pierce has a giant photo of a younger Chevy Chase hanging above his bed, and Troy woke up in Spider-Man pajamas (actor Donald Glover started a Twitter campaign to play Spidey over the summer). It's these sort of comedic touches that has given the show a big cult following online.
If that wasn't enough, Betty White guest starred as an anthropology professor who takes her work very seriously. Like, shoot you in the neck with a blow-gun dart seriously.
White fit right into the wacky world of the show, and ended up singing a few bars of Toto's "Africa" while backing up Troy and Abed on one of their trademark raps.
There was also the little matter of the big plot twist at the end of last season, with Jeff rejecting both Britta and Professor Slater, and going right into the arms (and onto the lips) of Annie.
With the summer behind them and a new school year starting, Jeff wanted no part of Annie, but desperately wanted to get back at Britta once she had "underdog" status (as Abed put it, she's the "Jennifer Aniston"), and watching the two of them pretend to get engaged just to spite each other (complete with Abed throwing together a quick "wedding episode," with a George Clooney impersonator) was a riot.
Did you watch the show last night, perhaps for the first time? What did yyou think, and do you want to see more Betty White on the show? And will you follow @oldwhitemansays on Twitter (or watch the inevitable TV spinoff)? Post your video iReport or comment below.
In a pop culture where originality is something that is rare, this show provides not only originality but in a clever an funny way.
I don't really want to discuss the guy who hate talks beatty white. What? Do you kick puppies too? That overplay cynicism is what went out ages ago; not beatty white.
community is the funniest show since arrested development. please, no more chuck lorre. your shows are just terrible.
"Got some room in your pockets for some spare Chang?"
The Golem-inspired ending.
Donald Glover getting out of bed with a Spidey shirt on.
There, I just gave you 5 reasons why this show is better than any other.
seriously, betty white is thrust upon the mainstream with the force of male virgin pounding his first love....it's disgusting to watch, and it's not like I can turn away because everywhere I turn I see her wrinkled face or justin bieber's hair......it used to be at least about having some form of talent......2 and 1/2 men kicks this show down the stairs and urinates on it anyway......
SO 2 THRUSTS AND HE IS DONE? AND 2 MEN IS AWFUL. SHELDON IS MY MASTER
You know, you have the choice to change the channel if it affects your life just that much. But i have a feeling if you haven't figured that out yet, then there's no hope your brain can process such simple tasks as that. Kudos, Terri Schiavo.
you just got Chang'd
How can you dislike Betty White? She's hilarious. I usually dislike romantic films, but she made the Proposal not only watchable, but also quite enjoyable. I think she should have some role in every movie or television show made; it make the world a better place. Just my two cents.

We'd love to hear what you think, and often.
I've watched the series ever since it began, and the season premiere didn't disappoint. I can't wait to see what happens on the show this year. Definitely one of the best shows on TV right now.
Community is one of the funniest shows on television, I couldn't wait for the new season. Betty White was wonderful and would be a nice now-and-then addition to the show.
I WAS TO BUSY WATCHING THE BIG BANG THEORY. ROFLROBOTARM USED FOR SELFPLEASURE.
This old broads 15 minutes were up 50 years ago..........and the Password is....."OVEREXPOSED".
Obvious B1tch Troll is obviously a b1tch.
Derpa derp. The fact you know that much about Betty White shows you're obviously a fan, most people don't know her older ventures on TV. Go back to /b/ and waste your days away checking out old youtube clips of Mary Tyler Moore, closet fan.
You both make no sense. If you think your lame attempt at sarcasm is going to make me suddenly love this fossil, you're sorely mistaken. The simple fact that I used to watch Password, with her late husband, only adds validity to my statement since they had her ugly butt on that show too many times. She's not talented and her one-note attempts at humor are as old as she is.
