It looks like Angelina Jolie has held firm to her desire of using as many locals as possible in her film set during the Bosnian war.
The 35-year-old actress has tapped a Bosnian thespian, Zana Marjanovic, to play the lead role in the movie, which is about the budding romance between a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman.
"The story is very complex but is primarily a love story," Marjanovic said when she confirmed that she’d landed the part in Jolie’s directorial debut. “Angelina is a wonderful person and it is a great honor for me to work with such a superb actress and humanist,” she added.
The actress, who according to Reuters has previously acted in two Bosnian films and a series of plays, said shooting will start this week in Budapest.
