If you’ve been remotely alert throughout 2010, you know that Lady Gaga is not only a consistent presence in media headlines - be it for flipping the bird at a Mets game or wearing a meat dress at an awards show - but she’s also one of the most powerful celebs using social media. And when we say powerful, we mean that the Lady is the Queen of Twitter.
The 24-year-old pop star has been wielding her Twitter power as of late to rally her “little monsters,” as she affectionately calls her fans, to support a repeal of the military's Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy.
“All hands on deck Lil Monsters: Key Senate vote this Tues. on #DADT repeal. We need 60 senators. Call your senator now," Gaga tweeted last week, following that up by sharing a video message she’d composed addressing the issue with her 6 million-plus followers on the social networking site.
So of course it follows that the “Paparazzi” singer, after addressing a crowd gathered at a Portland, Maine rally in support the repeal, would tweet follow-up info for any little monsters who missed Gaga speak.
