Randy and Evi Quaid arrested againActor Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi, have run into legal trouble once again – the couple was arrested Saturday after police were called to a Montecito, California residence to investigate a report of squatters. According to a press release from the Santa Barbara Sheriff's department, a representative for the owner of the property came by the house to check the security alarm because it had gone off earlier that day, and then discovered that someone had been resting their head in the property’s guest house. The Quaids weren’t around at the time, but upon their return later that evening the couple told the police that they have “owned the property since the 1990’s." According to the statement, the owners had documentation that someone had purchased the property from the Quaids several years earlier. A contractor who worked on the residence believes the couple caused more than $5,000 in damages in the guest house, and the Quaids were taken into custody for residential burglary. Bail is set at $50,000 a piece.

They're not irrational or insane – this more than likely began with a stalker problem. Quaid has earned in exess of 40 million dollars over his lifetime. The good guys were probably watching him to catch the stalkers and he couldn't differenciate between the two because nobody ever identifies themselves. That's how it began.... and then it escalated. It's happened before with people who are not famous.
Anyone remember an old movie with John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd called "Neighbors"?? I think it's the Quaid's inspiration.
She is a lovely woman. He looks the way he looks. I don't know what is going on with them but it doesn't look good. I presume she is the enabler. A beautiful woman like that should not be destroyed.
Bias cnn runs this story but nothing about the Black panther party and Rev, farrakan meeting with the president of Iran . I'm sure they are plotting something .
In the house of Quaid where the wife was laid, the squatters were a plotting, to live there long on wine and song and sleep in quite contented. The cops were called and @sses hauled to the curb where belongings waited, they were cuffed and stuffed into the wagon for having fund that were lagging.

It's the oxycontin. Most weird behavior celebrities exhibit these days is due to the Oxy. They can't both be bipoloar and have synchronized mania.
These guys probably own a lot of property, and have property managers to buy/sell/rent it for them. They were in the area and forgot that one of their agents already sold this house, so they decided to stay there, thinking it was their property. And apparently, the new owners never changed the lock. $5000 worth of damage? I doubt it.
I guess Clark isn't allowing Cousin Eddy to park the trailer in the front yard anymore.

This piece is SO poorly written that I can't understand what actually happened. 2 people were arrested. Why? Doesn't say. The property was sold? Who were the owners when the burglary was reported? Neither question answered. If they didn't own the home, why were they called to the property due to a burglary? There is no excuse for such poor quality writing.
Bonnie, I have to agree. If you're going to put a shameful spotlight on someone, at least give all the known facts to support the issue. Who knows, maybe they even go permission to stay there and an accident happened. Get the whole story before you write an article like this folks.

Have you spent time in both places? I do like south of LA but the LA basin for families thinking of a vacation, needs to think about it. Its not a south vs north thing. Sorry but its true. Northern CA. is the jewel of California and should be seen first over the pit that is LA.

There is most certainly something more to the Quaid story. Ive heard that hes developed a healthy drug habit and all his cash was spent on it and by his wackjob wife.
