Ryan Seacrest to introduce 'Idol' judges WednesdayIt looks like Fox is finally (finally!) getting ready to say who exactly will be on the “American Idol” judges panel, as host Ryan Seacrest has confirmed the impending confirmation. "Looks like I have some new plans on wed!” Seacrest tweeted. “I will be able to introduce the @AmericanIdol judges panel! We will send u a pic! Can't wait" Neither can we, Seacrest. Neither can we. If it all goes according to media speculation, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler will be joining Randy Jackson for the next season of "Idol," THR points out. But, looks like we'll have to wait until Wednesday, September 22.

I'm so SICK of FAKE Idol. The show has gotten PREDICTABLE, BORING and lacks CREDIBILITY!! JLo will NOT save the show and she's NOT worth 12 million either, none of the judges are. I haven't watched it since Ruben Studdard won. AND I don't plan on watching it anytime soon!!
Just cancel the show.
This will be the last season of american idol. without simon and paula, the show sucks.
Simon Cowel is the show, literally. The whole point of winning the contest is that you would get popularity and have your record produced and marketed by Simon Cowel's production/recored company. So with him gone it all becomes completely meaningless, as if wasn't already, haha.
Why does this show hire non-musicians or just plain godawful entertainers as judges? Paula Abdul and Jennifer Lopez have no musical talent whatsoever. At least Steven Tyler is a musician and can sing. I never watched this crap and never will.

Instead of watching the show or adding to silly blogs, people can volunteer at a local non profit organization.
Not the right move. Neither Steven Tyler, nor J-Lo will want to stay with the show for a long term commitment. So even if they are decent judges (and that's a big if), they will leave after a year or two, and then a new search will begin. People don't like change. They won't want to see new judges year after year.
Steven Tyler makes me puke, and he has turned to mush brain and JLo is just a joke;won't be watching !!
Howard Stern is the only person who can replace Simon.
Need Paula back. I think Eric Clapton w/b a good judge too!!

This show jumped the shark several years ago! I cant believe it is still on. Firing all the judges and pretending they quit aint gonna save it! This show has ran its course and fox should move on. Most people dont even know who the last several winners are!

I doesn't matter who the judges are anymore. TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE! The show has been ruined by lack of good talent.
The tryouts are nothing but a joke............Simon knows the show was over a couple of years ago...that's why he's moved on. I used to watched Idol religiously.....now, I wouldn't waste my time. Ryan, you're going to have to find another night job. Might as well start looking now.
American Idol has really went downhill since Paula Abdul left the show. She could see the writing on the wall when American Idol brought Kara aboard has one of the judges. Kara was rude and obnoxious and so into herself. Jennifer Lopez is a Diva that demands everything. She wanted 20 million to be a judge on the show and settle for 12 million. She wanted to run American Idol and tell the show producers who should be the judges on the show and the show producers told her to take the 12 million period with no strings attached. Steven Tyler is a rock star has been who been in rehab I don't know how many times for drug and alcohol abuse. I don't know how many times he has fell off the stage why he has been performing for being drunk or being high on drugs. Do we really want him to be a role model for our kids? I bet Simon is laughing all the way to the bank with his new show (X Factor) coming out this fall to compete against a losing show like American Idol.
Role model for our kids–are you #@&*% crazy? If anything to do with these pitiful, mental midget, mindless TV shows act as a role model for future generations, then we are in serious trouble. Whoa boy–what a country.

The only reason I ever watched idol was to hear Simon let ppl who couldn't sing know that they couldn't sing. this will work as well as the dukes of hazzard with coy and vance instead of bo and luke. nothing like the originals.
I lost interest in Idol last season because out of all the people that auditioned the judges picked such awful performers!! Simon made this show and w/o him...it's over!!

Simon was the truth and Paula was always just a total doll. I quit watching after Paula left.
As soon as Lopez was announced as a judge my remaining interest in the show went out the window. Other than a paycheck, is there any reason why Randy is still there?
Lopez at least will be an improvement over Paula Abdul. But they need to get a judge like Cowell. ...someone who will get big reaction from the audience because of their raw truthfullness.

The war in Iraq and Afganistan, the economy spinning out of control, the rich getting wealthy off the backs of the rank and file, a government who has long ago lost touch with the common man, people losing their homes, life savings, and committing suicide because of it...who really gives a damn about a show that is insipid in its inception, with a smug Brit with nothing nice to say, a producer with a canine fixation, and female judges who were little more than eye candy? Let this be the final season (PLEASE!!!). Maverick...OUT!
Oh Boy!! Can I be a celebrity too? Just like the REAL celebrities? I'm so excited I just wet my pants. If I could be on American Idol–why, all my dreams would come true! What war? What poverty? I just want what everyone else wants–to sit in front of the TV and let my tiny little American brain melt to the floor. Gush gush. Well, it's one thing to watch, but if I could BE on TV, why it's so delicious I think I'll faint.
A no talent Diva and I washed out rocker...wow, really no reason to watch at all this year.

I liked the idea of music mogul David Foster as judge. He certainly knows music & will not mince words. Would like to see Bret Michaels as judge. The man's invincible, so he'd be around for awhile. And he truly seems to care about people & would give them constructive criticism. JMO
Agree with you on this! The show would be dynamic with David Foster. He's opinionated, tough and right on target.
I thought Simon was the show, but he certainly isn't the only rude, honest person on earth. Idol may be getting long in the tooth, it may be the final season, but it's still fun to watch. And I am happy that a handful of the contestants have made their mark on the entertainment industry, acting and singing. I often wonder why people so jealous of other's success. why not be happy for them instead? It sure makes you feel a whole lot better inside yourself rather than hating on them.
Ohhhhh...come on people! You will be glued to American Idol no matter who it is! Once you start watching it every week, YOUR HOOKED! Your all just to ashamed to admit you will be sitting on that sagging idol couch with your eyes glued to the T.V. And making those bathroom and snack runs during commercials!!! lol

I stopped watching the year Taylor Hicks won, and I have not watched an episode since. It is fun to watch this show implode with the choice of judges.

Simon & Paula were great judges, I liked watching Idol now with JLO its 1 less person to watch Idol I'm sure ratings will Decrease soo Sad.

As Randy Jackson would say, lets get it real.
A lot has always been said about Paula and about Simon, but no one ever talks about Randy. Randy doesnt insult people or try to break their spirit, but tells it like it is and then gives them some pointers. He is a very good judge.
The most interesting thing on idol is what the judges say and usually much more fun that hearing the performances.
You never knew what Simon was going to say and usually you had to agree with him. He will be missed. He almost was american idol.
J Lo or tyler.....they just dont seem like a good fit for me. I would much rather see a howard stern. because that guy would tell it like it is. And bring back Paula.....hey if simon was american idol then she was 2nd in command. what a talent. But I will watch Idol...because it is idol.
Harry Connick Jr is the only one I would respect in the judges seat now that Simon is gone
The show has been on a downward spiral for the last couple of years, first letting Paula (yes she may be a ditz, but she was a great one) go, bringing on Kara (never heard of her before this show), the Ellen fiasco (love her but it wasn't a good fit) and Simon (whether you like him or not he was almost always right and called it as he saw it) leaving. If the rumors are true and Jlo (talentless what has she done lately diva) comes aboard they will lose more viewers then they will gain. The talent on the show the past few seasons has with the exception of one or two people each season been more of a karoke night at the local pub than a true talent contest. The charisma is gone and I fear so will the show after the end of this coming season. Did they not cancel a number of the tour dates this summer due to lack of interest? AI producers you need to take note10 years may be as far as it goes if you make the wrong choices.
Kara dioguardi is one of the most accomplished songwriters in the world, who has written some of todays biggest hits, including some of past idols. She is the go to writer for top hits and its a shame that she won't be on idol, as she is one of the most relevant judges they had
I'll do as I do every season: watch the tryouts, laugh at some of them, then lose interest when only good singers are left.
Ellen ruiened Idol. and with Simon gone, its just another lousy talent show. But Jen Lopez? wow, that might be worse than Ellen if that were at all possible.

Only thing I don't understand was...people love watching Paula as a trainwreck but they won't offer her any more than $8m and they're giving an untried judge $12m?!? Kinda ambivalent about this....too bad Idol's over. Used to love the show.
AGREED. She might be able to tell which singers can be autotuned enough to sound good (like hersef). The only way I would watch is if the contestants stood up to her criticism and told her that they are betther than her. You know, the TRUTH.

Where is HOWARD STERN?! As much as I hate the guy, I think he is the only one who might actually be able to save Idol before the sunset, because we'd all probably watch just to see the crazy sh** he'd say, just like Simon.
Yeah, no matter how many big names you get you can't replace Simon's truthiness and ability to spot talent. I don't know who would tune in just to watch Randy, a washed up wannabe singer/actress, and a possibly senile Steven Tyler. But at least it's not David Hasselhoff.
I am sorry american idol show has been a hazbin for the last 2 yrs. You think Paula Leaving i never came back after that last season with her. I wont come back for the likes Of Tyler, Or J-LO . The show is only staying in the media cause fox wants it that way. The more coverage the more attention they think American Idol can come back to full force. Not a big fan of the show, but I believe the show will still get decent ratings. There a great amount of aerosmith fans out there and unfortunately jlo (Taco flavored kisses for my ben... sorry had to throw that in there) fans still exist. So Idol will probably do just as well without simon or or kira. Both judges have a background of being great performers. Maybe the judging will get back on track given their experience.
I am really anxious to see who they end up with. I would love if they came out of left field and had totally different people then J. Lo & Steve Tyler – but I am not expecting that to happen.

OMG! Get over yourself. You will not catch it by watching someone who is gay on tv, by touching them, etc. I have many friends who are gay and they are the best! They are who I go to when I want to go check out guys! Besides – you must not watch a lot of tv since a lot of shows either has someone who is gay on it or pretends to be.
Ellen was horrible. She used the rejects on her show. Now she's doing the I found talent on the Internet thing and what do you know, they're either children or GAY!! Soon there will be GET Gay Entertainment Television!
