This isn't the best week for fans of the TBS comedy “My Boys." Sunday not only marked the end of the fourth season, but it turns out that was the end of "My Boys" altogether.
The network (which, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner) has canceled the series.
That final episode, according to Variety, pulled in 879,000 viewers, and it looks like ratings have been on the decline. Some fans say they saw the writing on the wall when TBS moved the show to Sunday nights at 10 p.m. - a time slot already known to many as "Mad Men"-o'clock.
To make matters worse, both Jordana Spiro, who played the lead as sportswriter P.J. Franklin, and Kyle Howard, who played rival sportswriter Bobby Newman, had to bow out of new gigs on NBC shows because of contractual obligations to “My Boys."
