   The real problem here is that these type of shows are judging art. Art is in the eyes/ears of the beholder. To say one is "best" is just ridiculous. The only reason is for people to make spin-off money from these shows. Sad really. I watch the show for performances and ignore any result. Same with OSCAR, etc...Remember Gandi beat out ET. Did they get it right? Does it matter? No.

     That is the dumbest comment i've read yet about this winner list. What does a supremely talented performance artist and musician being nominated and WINNING the nominated awards have to do with the integrity of the show if she, in fact, deserved to win?

     Oh yea – it makes so so much more sense to "ration out awards" just because someone already got something. That really is a fair indicator of talent – process of elimination. "Geee GAGA won 3 awards, she deserves the 4th but we're gonna give it to Justin Bieber just because she won.... oh wait... doesn't that mean she still won the award if we have to pass it to the 2nd runner up?"

     I'd say since the VMA's are fan-based, and Lady Gaga won 8 of 14 categories (nominated 14 times in 14 categories – some more than once) says that she deserved to win – her fans demanded it.

    I honestly wasn't a fan of the Bad Romance video, but people adore Gaga, and I think that's what got her all those awards.
    Eminem TOTALLY deserved Hip Hop Video award. That song is AMAZING, it deserves everything.

      San Diego obviously doesn't listen to Eminem or he would know that his SONGS are unbelievably good!
      There is singing in the majority of his songs.
