Who wore it best on the VMAs white carpet?We don't know if MTV gave the celebs strolled down their Winter Wonderland-esque white carpet a heads up, but some seemed to take it into consideration. There was plenty of all-black (the better to contrast with) and sparkle (see: Audrina Patridge's entire look). The cast of "Jersey Shore" appeared more tan than usual - guess this is a special occasion - and the cast of "The Hills" - including the sparkliest of them all, Audrina - looked great. But the award for "best white carpet pop of color" should definitely go to Rosario Dawson. Who were your favorites on the red - er, excuse us, white - carpet? |

This years MTV Music Awards STUNK, STUNK, STUNK. Chelsea was boring as hell and her jokes were dull as a butter knife. WHY they chose her to host the awards is beyond me. In addition, Justin Bieber's FAKE-singing was SAD, SAD, SAD. The boy chose to lip-sync than actually SING is an insult. Taylor Swift is boring as hell. She looks and does the same thing on every music awards. CHANGE IT UP TAYLOR!!! The stage design was about the only COOL thing about the show, everything else was PREDICTABLE and utterly BORING, BORING, BORING!!
I'm so over lady gaga.. others have done the stock factor.. nothing new with her..

wow, its really amazing how old some of you people must be, or seriously sucking when it comes to fashion, style and basic coolness.
Gaga is an artist in every sense of the word. She is amazing. And her most beautiful accessory was the brave soldiers she brought with her. She is truly awesome.
Some of these people I never heard of. That Bieber dude looks ridiculous. Although, Katy Perry is cute, there is something funny looking about her face. Snookie is gross, sorry to her fans but it's true.
I'm not really much of the whole Gaga and Beiber bum lover (I'm a screamo lover), and I wasn't impressed by MTV's music choice either. Gaga looked like a rooster, I like Hayley in general but what she was wearing was..eek. Beiber CAN'T sing, not to be mean, alright he sucks. Everyone's outfits were screwed, it was seriously pathetic.

Justin Bieber is looking more girlie every day. Why on earth did he wear such over-sized shades (picture 2)? Let the girls wear the over the top sunglasses – they look silly enough – but for a guy to wear them....just too much for me. He sure is trying to look 'pretty' and just isn't helping his masculinity at all with wardrobe like this. And what's with the peace sign? Pale white child looks ridiculous when attempting to look "cool".

The VMS's reminded me how few pop stars can actually sing real musical notes and how many are untalented posers who do nothing but strut around a stage in clown costumes.

Was the fashion meant for the 15 and under crowd? IF SO, then I understand why they all looked way out there! The gal in the "trash bag" dress looked the best....and I didn't even recognize Rihanna, her disguise was very convincing and ridiculous as always....this should've been called the Lady/Sir GaGa awards....it must've killed Chelsea not being able to cut loose, on most of these people...I LOVE HER SHOW!!!!

Do you also remember when MTV wasn't a beacon of pop culture and instead catered to the fringe? Me neither! Maybe the MTV from your past wasn't more real or down to Earth? Maybe it's always been about pop stars and the highschool/college demographic /-5 years of age. Maybe the fondness you have for the past is tied to it's association to your youth?
Chelsea looked great, but not that funny except for the opening. HATE JERSEY SHORE PEOPLE WISH THEY WOULD SHRIVELL UP ON THE TANNING BEDS AND GO AWAY. I was not empressed this year.
