Meet the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'

Who knew Paris Hilton was such a trailblazer?

Seven years after the celebutante took over TV screens with her reality series "The Simple Life," her aunts are following suit, appearing on Bravo's upcoming "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

The network announced this week that Kathy Hilton's sisters, former child stars Kim and Kyle Richards, have joined the cast of their latest "Housewives" franchise, airing October 14.

Also among the Beverly Hills beauties: Kelsey Grammer's now ex-wife Camille, who fesses up to having four nannies for her two children; Adrienne Maloof, whose family owns the Sacramento Kings basketball team and Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas; Brit restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump, who also has a skin-care line and a column in Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine; and Taylor Armstrong, who is married to a venture capitalist and runs her own business firm.

But just like their infamous niece, it's the Richards women who will be making headlines, particularly feisty mother of four Kyle. She's  seen in a preview going to battle with Grammer, losing her cool at a dinner party and lunging at big sis Kim in the back seat of a limo.

Guess drama runs in the family.

No one should get so offended about the Housewives of Anywhere being predominantly white, take it as a compliment!! Although I love these shows the women are basically trashy, silicone and botox filled white woman looking to get their 15 minutes of fame for airing their dirty laundry and backstabbing their friends on a reality show and need not be envied...watch and laugh, it's mindless entertainment.

What can I say, Joe's an idiot, just like these stupid people. There's nothing remotely "real" about these twits.

YES, I've been asking myself the same question. Why the lack of diversity Bravo? I'm tired of looking at the same type of woman (blond, blue eyes, large breast). IT GETS BORING AFTER A WHILE!!!!! There are many, many affluent African Americans throughout the US. Bravo if you need a reference, try opening the Black Enterprise Magagine for starters. I happen to be white.

REALLLLLLY? Where are the East Indian women, Korean women AND African-American women??? Most of your audience IS African-American, Bravo – PAY ATTENTION!
We have alllllllllll the flavor baby – trust us! Why only cater to women who want big butts(we have that naturally) – big lips (we got them free, and we were born with them) – Big breasts – (We also have them naturally) –
NE NE must NOT be the ONLY representation of us – You are SEGREGATED, just like prejudiced George Wallace was in the Jim Crow Southern parts of Mississippi, Bravo – Show women of color through the lenses class, integrity, wealth, motherhood and cattyness – wrapped into one – ROBOT WAX chicks is an embarrasment to your franchise ya'll... really?

Enough already! Bravo step your game up. i am noticig that the only black women you put in these things are the ones from Atlanta where I guess they think every black person in America lives. I am not playing the race card but does anyone else seem to notice this? You mean to tell me that there are no rich black, hispanic, asian, indian housewives in NJ? a large group of wealthy black women live in Saddlebrook, NJ. Also are there no wealthy black, asian, hispanic, or indian housewives in NYC. Robert Dinero does a lot in the Tribecca area not to mention acting and um his wife Grace Hightower is black. That token they have for Washington I am not impressed with. No black, brown, or beige houswives in the O.C or Beverly Hills huh, I guess Beacon Hills where all the wealthy black people live doesnt count. Well I am done with the series and it's spin offs

Grow up. There are enough black people on tv including the man in charge he makes sure he gets his 15 min of fame daily.

Coast Girl...you are the one who is in desperate need to grow up. People of color or not represented and it is a shame. Your dig about our President was totally uncalled for. What is your race? Pure white as the undriven snow?

I live in the OC in the same place the OC Housewives live and I can say from seeing them around town that Vicki and Jeana look good in person but not over done in the least and are so very nice! They couldn't be nicer! I don't watch any of the housewife shows because this franchise needs to go away but I can say these two women are awesome

It's sad that Bravo has pretty much covered the whole country. Now the rest of the world will think women in all areas of the U.S. are superficial empty headed idiots. Thanks Bravo, for exploiting the worst in women so the world will think all women are brainless and act badly. If any women were a part of the creation of these shows, they should be ashamed of themselves and look at a history lesson about suffragettes and the liberation movement of the 60's.

OK Bravo..... enough with the expanding Real Housewives franchise expansion.... you're not Law & Order!

You can do away with DC (do we really want the world to know how stupid our nation's capital can be?) & Atlanta (just an embarrassment to the south in general)... No need for Bev Hills

    OC is still the best

dnt go all crazy on me, JD but how can you not appreciate each and every Housewife franchise if you like OC? I love them all...DC will have to grow on me but anyone with common sense should know that these are just 6-8 women who are crazy and they dont rep all the women in the cities!
