Tina Fey ("30 Rock")

Who wore it best?

Let’s talk dresses. OK, fine – we can also talk about a tux or two.

While a lot of what we've seen on the red carpet falls safely in the "meh" category, there were a few who stood out from the rest as being among the best-dressed or among those who should reconsider employing their stylist.

For the ladies who made a positive impression, two of "Glee's" stars, Lea Michele and Amber Riley, definitely showed up to show out.

But when it comes to January Jones, for better or for worse, her dress indeed will be one that everyone will talk about tomorrow, as Jezebel points out.

We're also not huge fans of Anna Paquin's dress, which does look a bit like it would be at home in a bullfighting ring, as one NBC announcer said. (Perhaps she doesn't like it either - anyone else notice how she kept her body turned squarely against new hubby Stephen Moyer?)

As for the men, we're once again going to express our "Glee" with the Fox show's cast: Chris Colfer's tailoring was impeccable tonight.

Jon Hamm of "Mad Men" looked swell as well, but he's also Jon Hamm, so to say he looked great feels a bit redundant. Sadly, we weren't in love with John Krasinski's suit and bow tie combo, but maybe some of you were?

The True Blood people, Emily Blunt, Amber Riley, Emily Deschanel and...I can't believe I'm going to say something positive about her...Kim Kardashian looked the best to me.

I thought January Jones looked cute. I don't see what's wrong.

I think people should be more adventurous in dress. I loved Bjork's swan dress!

Lea Michele wins again and the hair down was fine she is young. And up do makes her look older.

Eva Longoria proves that simple and elegant are the way to go. I am getting tired of the "casual hair" with the evening dress. Lea Michelle had on a beautiful dress that fit her perfectly and a spectacular necklace that was all over shadowed by hair. Who ever told January Jones that dress was a good choice should be flogged, ditto for Rita Wilson. I did think that Jimmy Fallon looked dashing in the white dinner jacket, and Jon Hamm looks good always.

Kate Gosselin should not have been there. Period. She didn't belong, regardless of the "joke was on her" skit. Please, the woman is beyond delusional. Now she thinks she wants to be an actress. I guess it might work since she has been playing a "mom" on tv for a few years now. Poor kids.

Anna Paquin insists on wearing these heavy beaded dresses to award ceremonies – she wore a similar one to the Golden Globes I believe – they make her look trashy. She should fire whoever is advising her on those choices. She would look so much better with a tailored solid color dress.

Forget the dresses, I've never seen so many horrible hairdos in any awards presentation. Some wore nice dresses and ruined it by looking like their hair just got out of bed! What's up with that? Los Angeles has some of the best hair stylists in the country – couldn't these stars do better?

I don't get what's the big deal about how people dress in these award shows...ooh a pretty dress there, a nice business suit there...eh. It is basically like prom, practically everyone dresses in the same attire. People keep knocking the "worse dressed" outfits but at least they are more interesting and shows that the person wearing it has a sense of humor. Why is that a taboo thing?

Tina Fey's dress for sure. At least it was interesting to look at. Most of the others were a yawn.

I hope January Jones sues her Limo driver. Obviously the other half of her dress got caught in the cars door jam. How embarassing for the designer also.

I loved Sophia's dress. It was beautiful and different. She could put on a flour sack and look beautiful. Great show last night.

Finally and Emmy show that was actually funny AND entertaining! Good Job, Jimmy! ( I do think Anna Pacquin should get that huge gap in her front teeth taken care of. A little space is cute, but it looks like she has a front tooth missing....)

They said January Jones was wearing million dollar earrings but who could tell with her mop of hair? [Hideous dress, horrible hair.... did Helena Bonham Carter do her hair?]

Rita Hanks totally wins for worst dressed even though you don't have her pictured. At least January Jones' dress had some shape.

I thought it lacked glamour.. Partly because the red carpet was filthy..When the camera was panning up and down the women and got to the filthy carpet.. All I could think was 'yuck'...How ordinary..
It ruined the "glamour" part for me..

Ummm...who took these photos?!?!? They are horrible! I can't even see the dresses to tell whether or not they are beautiful or flattering. They are mostly of the shoulders and up or the waist and up. I'm off to another site!!!

I agree that Sophia was the best-dressed. However, Eva Longoria looked elegant and beautiful, as usual.

Sofia was one of the worst dressed. She is beautiful and the dress was not flattering. It made it look like her breasts extended further out. The color was nice, that that's it.

Lea Michele had a nice dress, but her hair looked terrible ... So that took attention off the dress. Poor girl.

    • She still looks better than me, but..

Agreed on Lea. Her hair looks like a wig.. odd. I think if she'd worn an updo, she would have been perfection.

January Jones' dress was terrible; Kim Kardashian's white dress, wrong color for her. I liked Lea Michele's and Sofia Vergara's choice of dresses. Best dressed to me – Sofia.

January Jones dress was hideous. She didn't even seem to like it. I thought Claire Danes dress was pretty but none of the dresses were extrodinary. I must say Jane Lynch looked good in her dress. Nice choice

I'm a bit disappointed. None of the dresses are like 'WOW, that dress is GORGEOUS!!" or anything. I agree, a lot of them fall into the 'meh' category. The most horrible dress, in my opinion, was January Jones. Its hideous, I have no idea how she could've worn that thing. Sarah Hylands dress was cute though, and same with Kim Kardashians.
