Lily Allen has better things to do than 'X-Factor'If you think Simon Cowell is harsh, wait until you hear what Lily Allen had to say about the former "American Idol" judge and his U.K. show, "The X-Factor." The 25-year-old singer dissed Cowell's Brit talent competition - which he'll adapt for the U.S. in the fall - during a Twitter tirade on Saturday. "Too set up/scripted in my humble opinion," she tweeted. "It's everything that I detest about modern western culture. Cowell is the only one who really benefits."
Allen also questioned just how Cowell, 50, managed to come to own the concept of talent shows. "I don't know how Simon Cowell has managed to get away with essentially copywriting [sic] the talent contest," she said. "It's beyond me, really." When her followers accused Allen of just being angry that she was never asked to be a judge on "The X-Factor," things really hit a sour note. "I'd rather actually eat my own crap than sit next to any of those goons," she tweeted. "I've better things to do with my time than feed the nation with the notion that doing cover versions will sort your life out." |

she's been asked several times to appear on x factor and was the original judge lined up before cheryl cole, no bitterness just sheer awesomeness.at least she isn't afraid to say what millions think.
Good for you Lily Allen! I wish more modern day musicians thought like her...
And WHO is Lily Allen again? I guess attending red carpet Vaseline sponsored events takes top billing over anything uber successful, mega rich Simon Cowell has to offer. 14:55, 14:56, 14:57....almost out of time Lily.
whats a lily allen?
sourgraping.....simon doesn't need you anyway!
Just another reason why Lily Allen is pure awesomeness.
