Courtney Love pleads with daughter via TwitterSome moms say it with a Hallmark card, but Courtney Love addressed her estranged daughter's 18th birthday via Twitter, in a nonstop series of tweets that were both anguished and bitter. Love began her hours-long plea by urging Frances Bean Cobain to flee the court-appointed guardianship of her late father Kurt Cobain's mother Wendy and sister Kimberly. "i have prayed youd get mad at them not run to them," Love wrote, adding that her deceased husband despised his mother. "i love you but your 18 now do NOT allow any guardianship to continue whatsoever! theyll lie to you tell you it has to,. no it doesnt!"
The singer was mostly concerned about Frances' finances, and the trust fund she just inherited. "for gods sake now that your of age run like hell," Love wrote, then alluded that Frances was being swindled by lawyers. "they have to give you by law 30k a mionth no matter what not 15k seen your legal bills?" Though Love - who is no stranger to Twitter tirades - accused Frances of ruining her life through her actions, she ultimately wants her daughter back in her arms. "i long for your kiss and your sweet head smell i long for you i ache for you, i die for you every day my heart breaks for you," she wrote. "just come home,. it took a year but i got the sickest townhouse in the village, theres 4 floors, just come home, i pray to god snap out of it."

So much hate, after all these years! What did she ever do to any of you?
What did she do to us?? She killed Kurt Cobain, for starters.
I don't blame Frances. She knows that her mom wants her money. I am pretty sure that by now, she has figured out that her dad didn't commit suicide. Mom "helped".
She may have played the "tortured artist" role to death (almost literally, as did Kurt), but can't we let her reconcile with her daughter as she sees fit. If her daughter rejects her offer to live in her "mad townhouse", maybe it will show both Courtney and the world that Frances is an adult who can make her own decisions. I am always concerned about family court decisions that make a parent a pariah. As crazy as Courtney seems, there are times when family should be kept intact, or at least on civil terms with one another. It might do both parties some good for tem to be in contact other than thru twitter, as it posts your thoughs to the world, and this might need some private exchanges to deal with issues.
Just read all the comments and wow people are really full of hate . I agree with the person above me mind your buisness . You are not in their life to make such rude remarks. Its kinda sad actually and I hope Courtney and her daughter one day settle all this <3
I think people should just leave them alone. I mean, it's Frances' life, and she'll do what she wants to do with it. And all you "die hard Nirvana fans" Kurt HATED people who said stuff about his wife like that. He would appreciate it if you left his family alone. He would like to have been known as a songwriter, not a stupid god.
And yes, Courtney's life may be messed up, but that doesn't mean you have the right to make her feel worse about it, all you idiot people who lie on a couch reading Vanity Fair all day. And Frances wouldn't like you to talk about her parents that way.

I'm so glad that you are such close, personal friends with this family. And judging from all the stupid things Courtney Love does, I think she would like for us to mind her business as well as our own.

I've never really been a fan of neither Nirvana or Courtney Love, but I've always felt sorry for her and Kurt. It's tragic that she is estranged from her daughter, considering that Courtney was estranged from her family at a young age as well. Let's hope Frances breaks this awful cycle.

For once I kinda have to side with C. Love on this. the bottom line is she just has her daughter's best interests in mind. Good for her.
heh, she has NEVER had Frances's best interests at heart. Only her own. She is money hungry, and that is the ONLY reason she wants her to move back home. Luckily Frances is supposed to be starting college this fall in N.Y. Cant remember the name of the University but it's Ivy League-ish. How could ANYone live with that drama mama and keep their sanity? Frances has done a remarkable job maintaining hers, I'd say.
