Conan O'Brien does spoken word

Add spoken word recording artist to Conan O’Brien’s list of many accomplishments.

Third Man Records is releasing a spoken word 7” titled “And They Call Me Mad?” recorded by the talk show host in Nashville at the Third Man studios.

In June, O’Brien visited Third Man Records for a surprise performance during his “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour” where 300 fans enjoyed a concert by the comic and his band.

The special set of rockabilly and rock songs were recorded  and released as a live album. The White Stripes’ Jack White joined O’Brien for a duet on the classic Eddie Cochran tune “20 Flight Rock.”

“And They Call Me Mad?” is O’Brien’s improvised take on the Frankenstein legend and the B side of the single is an interview with the funnyman conducted by White.

Proceeds will go to benefit ReTune Nashville.

The catch is that the record is $100, I hope you are willing to fork that over for it.

      AndiYourAStar,
Nope, the albums are only $5 and $15, respectively. The $100 is for a special limited edition you need to buy in person.
