Britney Spears tweets from the set of 'Glee'The buzz surrounding the Britney Spears episode of “Glee” is attempting to go head-to-head with the anticipation for both the Madonna and Lady Gaga themed episodes combined. Spears fed the fans’ hunger for more details by tweeting,"what's up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can't wait for you guys to see the episode!" along with a photo of her on set. “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy told Ryan Seacrest earlier this month that the Britney scenes would involve dental work and anesthesia, but he didn’t say what role the pop star herself would play.
And although Spears didn't spill any details, we also know that no jabs will be thrown at Spears' tumultuous past. "It’s about her music, it's not about her personal life,” Murphy told Seacrest. “I think Britney Spears is pop culture. I think she’s been through a lot, and I want to do something that says thank you.” The bets are already going that "saying thank you" will involve finding a reason for Heather Morris's character Brittany to say, "It's Britney, [expletive.]"

Who or what is a "Glee" and why should I care if BS twitted from it?
Glee is the new gay...
Oh please, every one should have a chance to be in Glee's spotlight. Like Damian McGinty of Celtic Thunder!!! He is incredibly handsome, charming with his Irish accent, and he has an amazing voice!!! The suits of Glee would have a huge following by running a storyline involving this young man,he auditioned and no word yet. BUT the fans of CT are not going to give up on him getting a shot at GLEE. Check his videos; Google Celtic Thunder It's Entertainment OR Damian McGinty/ Mack the knife. You will see true talent and charm, not to mention he is easy on the eyes!!!!

Here's a challenge for "Glee": Do a series of episodes based upon music theory and its history as most likely reflected in Western culture, all the way from Palestrina to Pink... I dare them.
what's the projected viewership? how much money can we squeeze from our sponsors?
I love Glee, but how can they do an entire episode about Britney Spears? All of her songs sound the same. I won't be watching that episode.
Then you don't love Glee. Gleekers watch every episode regardless of the music or guest stars. I personally don't care for Britney either, but she was a pop icon and molded the way pop music is today, whether we like it or not.
A washed up celebrity tweeted about a teenie bopper television show? I'll be sure to tell everyone I know.
It's a shame that only these white pop stars are mentioned..where's a Janet Jackson themed episode?
Where's her permission? They have to go through so many copyright laws and red tape to get access to these songs. I, for one, would love to see a Mary J. episode.
I WISH theyd do episodes about more TALENTED artist music, NOT gaga and britney, but QUEEN...MAMAS AND PAPAS...BEACH BOYS....JANIS JOPLIN...something MORE than this crap. I love GLEE and think its a great show, but when they wanna really show their talent, they SHOULD make episodes with music from truly GREAT artists. seriously.

I love Glee but will definitely NOT WATCH the Spears episode! If she COULD sing it would be a whole different ballgame, but good grief I find it hard to believe she has any fans left.
