The lost treasures of 'Lost'

A building in an office park in the rolling hills of Calabasas, California is the last place in the world you'd expect to find some of the most iconic props and costumes from "Lost."

What were they doing there? Hmmm... maybe we should wait six years and let you go mad pondering that mysterious question and then not answer it. Oh, don't fret, we wouldn't do that - we're not that cruel.

The building was the headquarters of Profiles in History, a company that auctions off Hollywood memorabilia. They're putting thousands of actual "Lost" items used on the show on the auction block later this month, and we were there to get a sneak peek at the collection.

Ellen takes the 'SYTYCD' stage

She may no longer be an "American Idol" judge, but Ellen DeGeneres still has a passion for reality competitions, especially "So You Think You Can Dance."

On tonight's finale, as EW.com reports, she'll take on one of the most popular dances of the season, in place of Alex Wong, who was injured and taken out of the competition.

Nigel Lythgoe is not exactly thrilled that the cat's out of the bag about the show's guest, but he did say via Twitter that DeGeneres was "incredible," adding, "Alex Wong's face was one of complete shock."

Halle Berry: Finding a mate is a hard thing to do

If you’ve seen “The September Issue,” you know that month is serious business in the magazine industry.

So when Vogue – the publication chronicled in “September Issue” – asked Halle Berry to be on the cover, there was no way she could say no, even though she’d sworn off speaking up in interviews.

“I was burned-out with having other people tell the story about me that they wanted to tell,” Berry, 43, told the magazine. “I told my publicist, ‘I’m not going to talk anymore. I’m just going to live my life and be who I am.’”

Behind the Scenes on 'Showbiz Tonight': Battle at the box office

The "Showbiz Tonight" staff was still buzzing this morning about the fed-up flight attendant. New rumors are swirling about what really went down before Steven Slater went bonkers. We were also blown away by how many of our loyal "Showbiz Tonight" viewers (We love ya!) think Slater should become a reality TV star!

Today we’re asking in our "Showbiz" poll which show Slater should be cast on, "Survivor," "Celebrity Apprentice" or "Jersey Shore"? He’s got a solid 7 minutes left of his 15 minutes of fame so we’re thinking he should milk them for all the dollars they're worth.

By the way, what are your weekend plans? Are you heading to the movies? Even if you're not, we're sure you know there’s going be an all-out box office war between the nerds and the stars. Will Julia Roberts’ star power in “Eat, Pray Love” be enough to defeat Michael Cera’s lovable nerd-romantic-comedy, “Scott Pilgrim Versus the World”?

Ohio town changes name in honor of Dee Snider

Obviously, it must rock to live in this town.

On August 21, Cridersville, Ohio, will be renamed Snidersville, Ohio, in honor of metal legend Dee Snider. The 55-year-old musician, who hosts the nationally-syndicated House of Hair radio show, requested that the town switch up its name after a listener from Cridersville called in to request a song of his. The request was in jest, but then the town agreed to make it happen - at least for a day, according to a statement.

“I've had many dreams and been lucky enough to have most of them come true, but I would never dare to dream of something like this!” Snider said.

It's official: Kanye to perform at VMAs

Updated Thursday at 1:15 p.m.: MTV has confirmed that Kanye West will indeed perform at the 2010 Video Music Awards. Drake and Florence + The Machine will also take the stage at the 27th annual awards show on September 12.

Kanye West might not have to steal Taylor Swift’s thunder to get noticed at the Video Music Awards this year.

UsMagazine.com reported Tuesday that the rapper is set to perform at the 2010 MTV VMAs, but the network has yet to comment on the matter.

Either way, we’re hoping West does perform - if only so Swift can hop on stage and tell him that she'll let him finish but....well, you know the rest.

West’s “Power” video, or moving painting, recently premiered on MTV after an episode of “Jersey Shore," and his album is expected to drop in the fall.

Bill O’Reilly: Aniston's comments ‘destructive to society’

Jennifer Aniston apparently ruffled the feathers of Fox News' Bill O’Reilly when she remarked that women don’t need men to have kids while promoting her new movie, “The Switch.”

“Women are realizing it more and more, knowing that they don't have to settle with a man just to have that child,” the 41-year-old actress said of the decision her character makes in the movie to opt for single motherhood.

O’Reilly, however, begs to differ. He brought up the statement on his show, “The O’Reilly Factor,” saying that Aniston is “throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that, 'Hey you don't need a guy. You don't need a dad.’ "

'Top Chef' goes to battle

DEFCON 1 people! It was restaurant wars on “Top Chef" last night, also known as the best episode of the season.

But before we get to the cooking, the judging and the aforementioned cheftestant warring, let’s roll it back to the beginning.

After last week’s elimination, Amanda woke up glad to be with the "best of the best," and Kenny… well, you know Kenny. He's the “alpha male" and a “beast in the kitchen.”

Yes, I did 'Real World'...Don't remind me

Don't expect to see Eric Nies or Heather B publicly endorsing "Real World: New York" cast mate Kevin Powell for Congress.

Democrat Powell, who hopes to represent Brooklyn's 10th District, said he wants nothing to do with his reality-show past.

"Notoriety is great, but it doesn't really mean anything if you don't actually use it to help people, and that's my position and that's been my position for a very long time and I'm 44 years old," said writer/activist Powell, who appeared on season one of "The Real World" in 1992. "I'm not that 25- or 26-year-old kid that was on MTV. I'm far from that at this point."

Going for the prize on 'SYTYCD'

On Wednesday night's episode of "So You Think You Can Dance," we saw a final three who really gave it everything they could in hopes of becoming America's favorite dancer, and though two of them grew as performers right before our eyes, one emerged as the most deserving of the title.

Let's size them up one by one, shall we?

First up, Kent: He's come a long way from Wapakoneta, and his contemporary routine with Allison was one of the highlights of the night. The last time we saw him dance this well was probably his routine with Lauren (the one that was sealed with a kiss), so he's certainly in great position going into the finale.
