Lil Wayne on life behind barsA still-locked up Lil Wayne recently called in to Funkmaster Flex's radio show, and talked about his plans for future music and life behind bars – which, apparently, includes making a lot of phone calls. In addition to trying to call his kids on a daily basis – “and you know I got a lot of kids to call,” Wayne joked – he keeps in touch with people from his Young Money crew. “I actually call [Drake] three or four times a week, but he only picks up for me once a week,” Wayne admitted. And when it comes to Nicki Minaj, he joked, “That being my future wife, we talk every night.” Nick Cannon sings the praises of Mariah's wifely skillsApparently Mariah Carey keeps it hot for Nick Cannon…in the kitchen. During a celebrity guest blogging stint over at GlobalGrind.com, the actor/rapper/DJ says that his songbird wifey always makes breakfast for him. “People can't imagine Mariah cooking but no matter what time of day it is when I come home she always has food prepared for me, usually steak and eggs or steak and baked potatoes,” he writes. “I’m a carnivore so I’m always eating steak. She’s amazing.” Cannon also sings the praises of marital partnership, saying that marriage “allows me to focus more.” And his wife is cute to boot, Cannon writes. “She is the most beautiful person in the world, inside and out. Someone like her is truly just an angel.” All together now: Awwwwwwwww! Behind the Scenes on 'Showbiz Tonight': Could Abdul come back to 'Idol'?Happy Thursday everyone! The “Showbiz Tonight” staff was on fire this morning about the drama going down between Whoopi Goldberg and Michaele Salahi. The star of “The Real Housewives of D.C.” was invited on with the rest of the cast members as guests of “The View” on Wednesday. Things got pretty heated up when the talk turned to the White House State Dinner that Salahi and her husband were accused of crashing. Apparently Goldberg was backstage and came out to tap Salahi on the shoulder so she would get back to talking about the White House, and a whole brouhaha ensued after the show was over! But, I gotta tell you, another brouhaha broke out in the “Showbiz Tonight” staff meeting this morning! Here’s the question: Was Goldberg and the rest of the ladies of “The View” wrong for pressing Salahi? “Showbiz Tonight” Producer Kristyn Martin thinks that Salahi could very well be the next Heidi Montag! You do not want to miss this debate on our show later today. Mike Tyson: 'Hangover' supplied my drug habitIn recent months, Mike Tyson has been everywhere. He spilled the beans on his love for cocaine and prostitutes to Sports Illustrated, called himself a “pig” in Details, and even popped up on the latest episode of the HBO hit, “Entourage.” Tyson also made a recent stop by ESPN radio for an interview in which he opens up about his part in the astronomically successful comedy, “The Hangover.” Eminem opens up on Brittany Murphy's deathIn the 15th anniversary issue of Vibe magazine, Eminem admits that he's still haunted by the death of his "8 Mile" co-star - and former flame - Brittany Murphy. "It was crazy...It's crazy because at one point we were very close and she was a really good person," the rapper says of Murphy, who died December 20 at age 32 from pneumonia compounded by anemia and prescription and over-the-counter drugs. "It's crazy when you see things, not just with her but just all these things that are happening in Hollywood with people in music, with people in acting," he said. "Famous people are overdosing at alarming rates and that almost sounded like a commercial. Wow." Whoopi Goldberg had choice words for SalahisIt looks like one woman’s "light touch" is enough to make another woman cry, and that seems to be what happened on "The View" Wednesday. Things got heated on ABC's daytime show – although, at this point, that may go without saying – when Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd sat down with the “Real Housewives of Washington D.C.” to chat about the new season. As the conversation veered towards a disagreement between Michaele Salahi and another “Housewife,” Goldberg exited backstage, touched Salahi on what appears to be her back from the video (judge for yourself by watching the clip here), and, according to Goldberg's recap of the events Thursday, said, “can you get back the White House please?” The name of 'Lost's' Man in Black is...One of the unsolved mysteries of "Lost" (a few of which may be resolved by the upcoming DVD set) was the real name of the Man in Black. The third-to-last episode, which included the birth and childhood of the character, didn't shed any light on the subject either. But according to the fan site Docarzt.com, that mystery appears to be solved... or is it? A catalog for the upcoming "Lost" auction includes the chair belonging to actor Titus Welliver, who portrayed the original form of the Man in Black, with the name "Samuel" underneath. Nigel Lythgoe definitely back with 'Idol'As shown by a recent episode of “So You Think You Can Dance,” Nigel Lythgoe has had “American Idol” on the brain, and with good reason: He’s back as the executive producer of the vocal talent reality competition, according to THR. While many have theories of what Lythgoe’s return will mean for the show, all he's saying for now is that he’s interested in “creating more magic,” whatever that may mean. Lythgoe, who served as an executive producer on “Idol” for its first seven years, said in a statement that he’s remained close with “Idol’s” other exec, Simon Fuller since they started “Pop Idol” in England. Since then, he said, "American Idol became a juggernaut of epic proportions, but to me it was always like home.” Lythgoe will join fellow “Idol” executive producers Fuller, Cecile Frot-Coutaz and Ken Warwick for the show’s 10th anniversary season, which starts in January, and no, he said on Twitter, he will not be a judge. "YES, I am returning to 'IDOL,'" Lythgoe tweeted. "I hear we have the biggest turnout of talent in years. I'm very excited at the prospect of finding a new STAR." But, he added, "I am not going to be a Judge on 'IDOL.' I am returning to the team in my old role as Executive Producer." Mary Hart to exit 'Entertainment Tonight'Anyone else feel like it’s the end of an era? “Entertainment Tonight” host Mary Hart has decided that she’ll take her leave from the entertainment news program at the conclusion of its 30th season, which premieres September 13, 2010. Hart, who has been working for “ET” since 1982, said in a statement, “I only meant to be at 'ET' for three years, suddenly it's almost 30! I've reached a point when I clearly realize it's time for a change.” She added, “There are many things I want to do in my life and I'd better get on with them. It will certainly be with mixed sentiments that I say 'goodbye' at the end of the season, but it will definitely be with a sense of celebration.” No decision yet on who will replace Hart. Is there anyone who you think could, or should, fill her shoes once she leaves? Who wants it more on 'SYTYCD?'When the final four dancers took the stage for their group routine on Wednesday night's "So You Think You Can Dance," guest judge (and choreographer) Tyce Diorio told AdeChike, "I want to see the fight." It was something of a theme for the night, as some dancers really showed that they wanted it while others had something - perhaps, that "fight" - lacking. For me, the two dancers who showed they really possessed that fire to make it to the finale were Lauren and (surprisingly, to me at least) Robert. In both of Lauren's routines, she gave it her all, as she has throughout much of the season, especially as a black widow with Ade as her prey. As Mia Michaels said, she is a "beast," and it was some of the most powerful dancing all season. |
