Here’s the thing about becoming famous: Someone will always, always find evidence of the pre-famous you, be it on video or in pictures, and it normally includes poorly cut hair.
This has happened to “Dinner for Schmucks'” Paul Rudd as well as Tina Fey, both of whom were caught on camera in all of their “before we became famous” glory.
Rudd, for example, was working as a bat mitzvah DJ three years before 1995's "Clueless," and the video is like a little ode to 1992, complete with what appear to be Laura Ashley dresses.
Rudd, with an early ‘90s floppy haircut, negotiates the limbo and hits the dance floor with a little air guitar. Clad in shorts and a dinner jacket (and are those Doc Marten's we spy on his feet?), Rudd seemed to be enjoying himself as he helped the birthday girl blow out her candles.
Fey, on the other hand, was caught in a pre-“30 Rock” commercial circa 1995.
Rocking a look that appears to be a cross between a pixie cut and a mullet and makes us think of mom jeans and white Keds, Fey discusses the various ways “Hi” can be interpreted in an ad spot for Mutual Savings Bank. It sounds awkward, but Fey pulled it off – she clearly had her trademark wit honed long before “Saturday Night Live” came calling.
