Remember when Justin Timberlake was just a mischievous but wholesome boy band singer with platinum blonde curls?
Those days have gone “bye bye bye” my friends. Mr. Timberlake has shed his pop-lite persona for one that’s a little more high fashion, and a little something else...
Ever since Target became Tar-jay, A-list celebs and designers have sold their wares to Middle America by creating limited edition lines for the affordable goods chain. Justin Timberlake's William Rast label, created with partner Trace Ayala, will be Target's latest offering in the fashion department, and will include denim, outerwear and sportswear for both men and women. Items will land in stores in December.
And when Timberlake is not working hard on Rast, he’s apparently working on some risqué tequila commercials – the actor/singer went behind the camera for a few of 901 Silver Tequila’s commercials.
The ad spots, all low-lit and a little sexy, show one woman pouring some tequila on the rocks before being disrobed by a male companion, who heads suggestively south, out of the camera's sight before the commercial is up. In another, a woman suggests that "Men should be free...Free to act upon their opinions...without hindrance, physical or moral, from their fellow men," as she pours a drink of tequila and brandishes a whip across from two bound gentlemen in suits.
“The truth of it is," Timberlake says in a behind-the-scenes interview, "I’ve been around cameras for half my life...so to step behind them and take advantage of a different vantage point; the most important thing is to really try and capture the story that we’re trying to tell. Taking these actors and making them look beautiful and lighting them well.”
