TGIF, Marquee readers.
"The Showbiz Tonight" staff just can't stop talking about the premiere episode of “Jersey Shore." Sammi and Ronnie - who were dating last season - are apparently off again, everyone seems to hate Angelina and all the kids seem to be soaking up the alcohol just fine in Miami!
"Showbiz Tonight’s" Associate Producer, Jessica Como said she was “underwhelmed by the season premiere but thinks it will get better”, but Production Assistant Anisa Husain loved it and can't wait for more episodes.
Now onto the big breaking news today about Ellen DeGeneres bowing out of “American Idol." Wow! Just a couple of days ago, the "Showbiz Tonight" staff suggested that the show needs a whole new lineup of judges and we named Jessica Simpson, Ozzy Osbourne and Mel Gibson as the new three-person panel.
Today we are hearing some reports that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler may be headed to "Idol" and that producers may actually toss the rest of the judges panel (Kara and Randy) and start from scratch! Hmm...could the "Showbiz Tonight" morning meeting be bugged by the producers of "American Idol"?
If the reports are true about Jennifer Lopez joining the show as a judge, Sr. Executive Producer Dave Levine thinks it’s a toss up whether or not J.Lo will make a good judge. "Showbiz Tonight" Producer Sandra Lee said she thinks J.Lo is “boring,” but “it’s not like she has anything else going on. It could be the perfect career booster, and a nice gig for a mom of twins.” Of course, we will be debating all of this tonight on "Showbiz Tonight!" So do NOT forget to tune in!
