Lohan gets to keep her hair extensionsAnd now for a lesson in jailhouse hair care: If you get a weave that’s too difficult to take out, you get to keep it, which is the case with Lindsay Lohan. The 24-year-old actress has been allowed to keep her hair extensions as she serves her jail time, but it has nothing to do with special treatment, the L.A. Times reports. Typically, hair extensions are removed when an inmate arrives at the Lynwood, California all-female facility, but only if they’re detachable, according to L.A. County Sherriff's Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore. Lohan’s extensions, on the other hand, are bonded to her hair and essentially sewn in close to her scalp, jail officials told the L.A. Times. But it doesn’t appear that Lohan will be in the slammer long enough to fret over her hair extensions anyway; it’s likely that she’ll serve only 13 to 15 days of her 90-day sentence. |

The legals have created a Huge Prison Alumni. There is worry that some may be receiving an extra truffle or two while in the pokey. Eventually people will realize how minor and petty prosecuting these offenses are – and how much $$$ the legal bureaucrats have made with their zero tolerance hype. Then maybe taxpayers will revolt and half of the lawyers will have to find a real job.
Is Lindsay Lohan a real life Mean Girl?
Here’s a really interesting piece from TV Host Rene Syler on why Lindsay ticks all the boxes – based on her personal experience with the star...

i think hair extensions are ridiculous. just another way for women to become more self-involved and plastic.
Who really gives a rat's behind.
Bloated legal bureaucracy Grows by prosecuting Trivial Cases - At this rate half our citizens will spend time in prisons – or have to pay a lawyer to protect their rights from nonsensical or padded charges (They make $ either way). Its become big business and needs to be seen as such. Lohan's lawyer showed she had substantially satisfied her 3-year probation while staying Employed. The legal aftermarket (probation system and ex- offender sweeps) seem to be neverending. A public uproar recently occurred when it was discovered that several city bureaucrats in Bell, Cali have been paid over $500,000 a year in salary, and guaranteed almost as much in pension.[See http://PensionTsunami.com to see how self-serving bureaucrats have become].
I'm usually happy to make fun of LiLo, but really, why do the police care if she leaves them in. Just another example of the police over-reacting. I'm surprized they didn't tase her or 'accidently' shot her.
What a joke...she should melt the masks she wears & give herself a new face !!!..She is so getting special treatment.
well when millions of people have the ability to read an article about your hair extensions, going to jail, drug abuse, ect.. i would hate to find out what would happen to her if she didn't get special treatment. there's enough crazy people out there that she would probably get killed!
Just shave all criminals' heads when they get sent off to prison?
what a joke!
so.....cut it.......again, poor chick w/ bad hair extensions can;t keep them, but rich spoiled drug addicts that have 2K extensions can.......what an entire joke this whole thing is........
There is a bit of a difference though, isn't it?
I mean, you even pointed it out. Someone with a bad, detachable weave that she or anyone could remove could potentially used to harm someone. Stranger things have happened, right?
But a weave like Lindsay's has been placed in such a way that, for all intents and purposes, it is completely part of her natural hair. So why cut it? She hasn't joined the military, she's just in jail for 90 days. Besides, her public image is damage enough, does she need the further embarassment that would come from a prison haircut?
Then again... that might be... no, no, it's not necessary.
as a woman who has worn quality weave in the past, let me be the first to say NO ONES weave is so intricatly woven as to be impossible to remove. please, a set of scissors would have done the trick in no time. unless the hair was fused to her scalp or on her hair folicles (as some weaves are), there should have been no problem with removing the extra hair. i doesn't matter if she spends hours in jail, she should be treated like any "regular" inmate, which means her weave should have been cut out.
Um, I sorta love the vaudevillian photobombing Lindsay in the background. Love him
I, too, am in love with the Vaudevillian! I thought it was the Monopoly game guy or Inspector Poirot.
Jane velez mitchell rocks. I am addicted to her show "issues" !! She has been covering lilo big time
Score! Looks like I'll be heading to Dolly's 'Do's & 'Do Knots before I hit the town this weekend. Wut-wut!
A pair of sissors would have taken care of that..
