Diablo Cody welcomes baby boy

A congratulations is in order for new mom Diablo Cody.

The Oscar-winning screenwriter, who also confirmed her pregnancy on Twitter, recently tweeted the news of her newborn son's arrival.

“We had our boy early this morning!” Cody reported Tuesday, July 27. The baby, Marcello Daniel Maurio, is the first child for both Cody, 32, and her husband Daniel Maurio.

The baby boy weighed in at “7lbs, 2 oz," Cody said, also noting that he's "lightly mustachioed."

Back in April, Cody announced she was indeed pregnant by tweeting, “Thanks for the congrats on my fetus. No secrets here; just thought it would be fun to see how big I could get before someone noticed.”
