Jaleel White, the actor likely best known for portraying the nerdy Steve Urkel on ABC's "Family Matters," has cleared his name.
After reports surfaced last week that White had been involved in a domestic dispute with the mother of his child, the L.A. City Attorney’s Office has told CNN that while police did take a report, there wasn't enough for the City Attorney's Office to "take a look."
As a result, the City Attorney's Office doesn't anticipate taking any action.
Wasn't Carl Winslow a cop..I smell conspiracy!
Hmmm – LA, Carl Winslow aka Reginald VelJohson a cop, Conspiracy....... I think someone should send a squad car to the Nakatomi Towers.
I thought this guy died in Viet Nam.
This is the lesson we have learned from all of this:
Kids, there's nothing more cool than being hugged by someone you like. But if someone tries to touch you in a place or a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, that's no good! It's your body – no-one has the right to touch you if you don't want them to. So what do you do? First, you say no. Then you get out of there. Most Important ya gotta tell someone you trust, like your parents, your teacher, a police officer!
Urkel (Sonic) said it best!
That was one of the more memorable episodes.
wow, guys. the "did i do that?" joke kinda loses effect when every other person says it. just sayin'
Only two people said it, and the second comment was asking if that famous line actually did anything for the cops. We were all thinking it, anyway.
Actually the second comment was just another joke... but I agree that it's not a big deal since only two people brought it up. If you can make a creative twist on the joke no matter who says it, how it's said, or what it says, it will be funny. Both amused me equally.
Anyone who says "just sayin'" is also stealing someone else's trite and unfunny catchphrase.
So the police believed him when he said " Did I do That"
Just going with the odds here, but he probably threatened a racist charge against the police if they pressed charges against him.
just because YOU would have (and did) bring race into the equation, doesn't mean everyone else would. I hope your liver falls out.
...and since when did that go over with the cops? You sound paranoid, ma dear.
The fact that you would bring up such a generalized, racist comment is tragically sad. So, blacks are guilty by virtue of skin color and the ony thing that saves them from true justice is the threat of racism made against the minions of the law. Whites are innocent until proven guilty, but blacks must be guilty even if the face of a lack of credible evidence.
I'm just a caucasian trying to understand the point you were trying to make.
When police arrived on the scene and found both the house and wife in a disheveled state, Urkel's only response was "Did I do that?".
