In the upcoming spy thriller “Salt,” Angelina Jolie plays a master of disguise, and now she’s ready to transform herself yet again to portray “Sleeping Beauty” witch, Maleficent, and Cleopatra.
Quirky director Tim Burton is reportedly already attached to the Maleficent project, a live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1959 animated classic about a witch who puts a princess to sleep because she wasn’t invited to her christening. Jolie, a big fan of the original, told MTV News she’d be thrilled to slip on Maleficent’s horn-rimmed headwear.
“I would love to," said the 35-year-old actress. "It's all new and being discussed, but I loved her when I was a little girl. She was my favorite.”
Remember that John Stamos extortion plot case from December? Well, it just got a tad more complicated.
A man and woman are currently on trial for allegedly attempting to extort “Full House” star John Stamos for $680,000. Last December, the pair was allegedly threatening to sell photos of Stamos to tabloids that, according to his reps, showed the actor posing with fans.
The two are now facing charges. On Monday, their defense attorney alleged that Stamos had a fling with the woman when she was a 17-year-old vacationing on Spring Break in 2004.
Last night's episode of "The Bachelorette" focused on Ali's hometown dates with the four remaining suitors, starting with Roberto in Tampa, Florida.
Roberto opted to show Ali the field where he played college ball, and, after showing off their baseball skills for far too long, Roberto presented Ali with one of his old baseball cards. Wonder if the card mentions the 7.20 earned run average Roberto allegedly pitched in college?
The two then met up with Roberto's family. His parents offered their blessing should he propose to Ali if the time comes, and everyone celebrated at day's end with music added in post-production.
After word spread that Marvel is searching for a “name actor” who “embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit” of the rest of “The Avengers” cast, Ed Norton has offered a response via Facebook.
“As most of you know, I don't like to talk much about the business of making movies because it means a lot to me to protect the audience's fullest enjoyment of the 'magic' that films can have,” Norton said in the statement.
But, he added, “It seems it won’t work out for me to continue playing Bruce Banner for Marvel in ‘The Avengers.' I sincerely hoped it could happen and be great for everyone but it hasn’t turned out as we all hoped.”
Long before she was performing in sold-out concert halls, angering baseball fans and Jerry Seinfeld, and making "Today" show history by drawing a crowd of 18,000, Lady Gaga appeared on "The Hills" without much fanfare.
"Nobody remembers," People's Revolution powerhouse and "The City" star Kelly Cutrone told MTV of Gaga's 2008 appearance alongside series regulars Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port. "MTV has got to take credit for this right now because People's Revolution put Lady Gaga on TV before anybody. She's on there and Lauren or Whitney, I think, they break her jumpsuit..."
Actually, it was Conrad, 24, and Port, 25, who saved the day for the singer.
