Sam Ronson to Joan Rivers: You have collagen older than LiLoAs far as Samantha Ronson is concerned, Joan Rivers’s Lindsay Lohan jokes are no laughing matter. The celebrity DJ is defending her ex after Rivers poked fun of 24-year-old Lohan’s recent courtroom drama in a series of jokes this weekend. “Lindsay Lohan said she wouldn't mind being under oath because she thought Oath was a Norwegian ski instructor,” Rivers, 77, tweeted on July 9. Later, referring to Lohan’s infamous manicure, Rivers wrote, “Lindsay Lohan is so dumb. Her idea of being sworn in is cursing at the judge.”
But Ronson, 32, fails to find humor in the fact that her former flame is headed to jail. “Hey Joan Rivers- you have collagen older than Lindsay, pick on someone your own age,” she said on July 10, adding, “oh wait, I guess people that old can't hear.” The dust seems to have settled for now, with neither woman making an additional snipe, and Lohan getting the last word. Retweeting Ronson’s message on Saturday, she wrote, “@samantharonson thank you |

No winners in this bout. That is the manliest, homeliest chick I've ever seen. And Joan Rivers face looks so pinched. I bet when she smiles her capillaries explode.
EXCLAMATION POINTS MAKE ME LOOK IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!
if Lindsay was as emphatically self-deprecating as the comic icon Joan Rivers then one might be remotely sympathetic to her cause...
That Sam guy is hot! Where does he D.J.?
Didnt mean to hijack your nick. I'll be Sir Fry from now own.
Joan Rivers,
dont let the haters get to you.........
I just want to make sure the anger gets pointed in the right direction.....me. LOL!
Don Rickles she ain't! Now there's a guy who could make people cry and laugh at the same time. Rivers doesn't come close.
That dude on the left is a girl? WHAAATTTT?
No way.
Kinda funny, Sam Ronson coming to Lindsay's aid after all the drama they went thru. I remember Sam having to call the Police when Lindsay crashed a family party at the Ronson's home.
Love Joan's Lindsay jokes. The lady still has it.
They are both ugly females of the species, whichever one that is.
Joan is a comedienne...Lighten up...they are both in public life, get over it!!!!!!!
who is Sam Ronson? irrelevant. end of dicussion. At least Joan Rivers had a career, even if it is iin decline.
Joan Rivers could not get into heaven because after all her surgeries, St. Peter wouldn't know who she was.
I never watch people like her because they are so mean spirited.
But of course, just because she's done so much for the industry in the past, people support Joan. They also go along with her mean spirited comments because... well... they obviously hate LiLo... but then again who really supports LiLo anyway? Look at how all these people flock to defend their Joan Rivers... "Team Wax Figure" is correct.
Being a great impact and pioneer in the past does not give you justification to go and bad mouth / judge someone else... if that were the case then none of us would have a right to be judging one another, would we?
When you decide to become a celebrity, you make the decision to open yourself up to criticism as well as acclaim. You can't have one without the other. Ronson should understand that as well as the next person. And if you can't take the heat – then back away from the money and find some obscure place in America to shut up and settle down in. More than any other family in Hollywood, the Lohans have made a business of being famous for being famous. Hello? They know Exactly what that entails – and were probably delighted that Rivers even deigned to breathe a name as slimy as theirs.
The only respect Joan Rivers should get is if she followed her husband's example....
My first thought was who is this dude to make fun of Joan. Then I saw it was Lindsay's ex. Show Joan some respect and Joan was pretty funny. Oath.
Joan Rivers may not be my favorite comedienne, but get real; where does Sam Ronson get off saying anything rude about someone who is as big in the business as JR is? Sam is practically over now–so who cares what she thinks? Whatever.....
y doesn't this DJ go away. she's no longer an important now that she broke off w/ lindsay. no 1 knew her before then.
Team Wax Figure:)
Sam Ronson needs to keep her dorito shoot shut and show some respect to Joan Rivers. Where does she get off saying anything about anyone??? She's a nobody, I mean he's a nobody.
Joan Rivers is doing her job–entertaining.Get over it,Sam. Lindsey will be fine once she does the right thing. Respect your elders, respect yourself....move on
@ one time Joan Rivers was humourous.....presently she is just like many of her co-comedians think the more hurtful & critical they are the funnier they are. Maybe they should start using themselves for the targets of their own jokes!!!
Hey Teresa, RELAX! Go get a glass of wine and a nice book and take a pill and chill
Not sure who is more scary in the pics above, Dude on Left or Wax Figure on Right.
hahaha so true
Tie.
The Oath comment was brilliant. Totally loved it.
@lol you are an idiot, Joan Rivers broke down barriers for female performers, her career has last longer than most, so YES, she has the position to talk, before you go off running your mouth, you may want to read up...
LiLo would like to last half as long as Joan Rivers and should be glad she was considered relevant enough to be made fun of...
Mick, her career is on the decline... all of her recent works/shows/appearances have become less relevant by the day. Besides, who really gives a crap about LiLo? I suppose this is just a way of Joan Rivers trying to remain relevant in the whole scheme of things. On the flipside, this is obviously a way for Sam Ronson to remain relevant as well... two wrongs don't make a right.
This is not about what people HAVE DONE anymore... it's about what people ARE DOING NOW. And frankly, as well-accomplished as Joan Rivers was back in the day, she is no longer truly relevant in today's society. Larry King has stepped down from CNN, perhaps Joan should do the same and leave the scene before she becomes more of a joke (as you can see with all these "surgery" jokes).
I see all you people can do nothing but resort to name calling ("idiot"). It shows how truly classy and intelligent Americans can be. Mick, want to prove me wrong or do you want to call me an idiot, too?
@truth hurts
First off, I agree with you on the 2 wrongs don't make a right...
Secondly, it's about respect for someone who has had a career longer than 50 years, not too many people on this entire planet can claim that. Doing now? Let's take a look, she was just on Celebrity Apprentice and they "Roasted" her last year so and so while her work may not be up to your acceptable level, it's still more than most.
No I just don't call people names without reason or this thing called evidence, you have the internet you can look up what that means. That's an assumption you made without either, I had both when I made my statement.
So if being an American means showing respect to those that have earned it, then I am guilty. Do not speak about class and intelligence about people from any particular country, when ignorance and racism is everywhere, proven by the World Cup, and if you think for an instant that where ever you are from doesn't have some form of it, then yes, you are an idiot.
Mick, I'm not young... and there are a LOT of Americans who have 50 year careers, just not in 'entertainment'. Insult-mongering is not a career or entertainment... it's just lame. Rivers' time passed a couple/three decades ago... now all she has, apparently, is to make unfunny low remarks about everyone, who sadly may deserve them, but we don't need Rivers adding to the spectacle, or to ridicule those who are 'down'. Shabby. So now, as Steve Martin suggested (but not in this way), I've joined you all to 'get small'... "Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people." -Eleanor Roosevelt
As much as I am not a fan of Lindsay Lohan, I must say her ex's comeback was pretty funny.
I am not really fond of Joan Rivers, either... it's not like she's in any position to talk smack.
You must be very young and have no idea who Joan Rivers is. She should be shown respect and not bad-mouthed by some punk-*ss little brat (Sam Ronson)
What is this, respect the elderly day? First off, everytime Joan Rivers has something to say, she is bad-mouthing someone else... why should we respect any of that?
@Melanie – Joan Rivers has made a career of making fun of people and lately it's become cruel. That's the reaon she has to work on the TV guide Channel. No one else will hire her.
You must be an old fart, then. Am I correct?
It might have been funny if Joan Rivers wasn't specifically known for making plastic surgery jokes about herself. It would be like someone calling Mo'nique "fat". Pointless, and not even a little funny.
@Melanie – ....so what's your point?
Let's see, she's older than dirt. Carson passed her up for Leno (that had to hurt). He husband killed himself. AND, her daughter is Melissa Rivers. She definitely has no room to talk smack about anyone, that's for sure.
