Mel Gibson being investigated for domestic violenceThe Malibu Hills police department has opened an investigation into the alleged domestic violence dispute between Mel Gibson and his former girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, CNN has confirmed. The 54-year-old actor has been caught in a custody dispute with his former girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, over the couple's 8-month-old daughter. Toward the end of June, Grigorieva, 40, filed a restraining order against Gibson alleging that the actor and director struck her in the face, People reported. Police said they are still in the process of gathering information surrounding Grigorieva’s allegations, and because the investigation is in preliminary stages, there isn’t more information available. CNN has reached out to both Gibson and Grigorieva's reps for comment.

Nothing like kicking a man when he's down. When you're kicking Mel does it feel good? What are you feeling? What are you thinking? ................And you think you are in a position to judge Mel!
Without a doubt, IF this is Gibson's voice, he's totally lost. But I question the recording in that while the alledged voice of Mel Gibson is resonous like a phone receiver would sound, the female voice couldn't be any clearer if she had recorded it in a sound studio. Her emotions seem almost staged and these two facts need to be looked into by a professional Audio Engineer to determine whether this recording should cost Gibson HIS career or this woman a little time for staging a recording most anyone would find offensive.
Uh... this is a guy who is building a church? Who would want to part of his congregation!

The behavior caught on audio tape is typical of abuse. From what little I have read, the girlfriend is from another country and much younger. Both of these factors would create an imbalance of power within the relationship.
Mr. Gibson professes to be a Christian. Yet, Christian beliefs lifestyles should produce Christ-like results. Spiritual abuse is always a component of abusive behaviors in Christian homes and damages the abused person’s view of God. (www.ccada.org the Christian Coalition Against Domestic Abuse)
Mel Gibson takes a public stance, with a profession of faith and as a REPRESENTATIVE OF GOD, through the movie The Passion. In the end, God is holding him accountable. We, who also profess to be Christians should look closely at this situation, and examine our own lives. How many Christian do and say the very same things Mr. Gibson does and the Christian Church turns a blind eye? Mr. Gibson needs to be held accountable for his actions by those that care about him. Making excuses for his behavior or blaming the women does not help.
I think this issue needs to be addressed publicly in our society and our Churches. It is an epidemic in both.

All I can say that Oksana is a Gold Digger!!! He fell for her while directing her music video. We do not really know the real behind the scene whether he really hit her. She must have said something to him that triggered for him to hit her and I hope not. Because look he was married for long time and never heard about him hitting his ex-wife.

I see a lot of misinformed comments about hitting women. There is no justification for hitting women. We have got to teach boys to walk away. My 2nd, who was raised by her father, didn't even graduate from high school, is in her late 20's, still lives at home with her father and has been in and out of jail and rehab's. Who makes the better parent? Will Mel be there 24/7 for that little girl? was he there for his other children? All I'm saying is "you can't believe anything, unless you are living it". I lived thru all the physical and mental abuse, I got out and lost a child in a very messy, spiteful, godawful divorce, I gave up everything I owned just to get out. Even my friends believed him and sided with him, because the one with the money and power "WINS". I seem to recall just a couple of weeks ago that Mel Gibson was in court to get a restraining order against this woman, now she turns around and says he hit her? The whole thing sounds very questionable. I am glad the baby is only 8 months old and not old enough to understand the nastiness going on in public about all of this.

Ok, this probably won't be received well , but here goes....to all the ladies who think they are getting something good...think twice before you break up a marriage, before you put that " bug in his ear". If a man is willing to leave the woman he has lived with for years, created children and a life with, promised to love forever...for you...either your picture should be in the bible next to Jesus or there's something just not quite right with the man. Jordan is a tool. My wife had our daughter, who turned three today (whoopee!), when she was 40. Fortunately, my wife didn't meet the right guy (me) until she was in her mid-30's, and I dragged my feet marrying her. Our daughter is beautiful, healthy, loved by everyone who encounters her, and undoubtedly more intelligent than Jordan already. People live different lives dude. We traveled the world and took our time tying the knot and having kids, in an effort to ensure we found the right person to marry. We did. Many of the kids in my daughter's preschool (in LA) have parents in their early 40s.
