Lindsay Lohan might have been sentenced to 90 days in jail, but she’s still free to tweet and, for two more weeks, party too.
Thankfully, she decided to skip her own party to celebrate her 24th birthday last night. But this morning at our meeting, we could not ignore her outrageous tweets! She quoted something from the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human rights, writing, “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment," and then linked to an article entitled “Iranian Woman Faces Stoning for Adultery."
Clearly, the "Showbiz Tonight" staff was mystified by the timing and choice of her tweets, which lead us to wonder if she’s actually comparing her jail sentence to international human torture. What do you think they could mean?
In more breaking Lohan news today we've got new insight into which drugs the actress is actually taking, and what her father, Michael Lohan, has to say about them - will these new drug revelations vindicate him once and for all?
Something else that had the staff scratching their heads today is whether or not Levi Johnston was forced to apologize to the Palin family. His sister sure thinks so. Levi’s sis, Mercede Johnston, blogged about her brother’s apology, saying, “Not only is he being controlled like a puppet, but saying that all of his comments and stories were lies is absurd!”
So what’s the real truth behind Levi’s apology? "Showbiz Tonight" uncovers that mystery tonight.
In other news, this year's Emmy nominations certainly had a few surprises, and we're covering the ones that caught everyone off guard, as well as rolling out reactions from all of the big Emmy nominees.

i am an rn, 1st of all the pronunciatin is dil- ah – did not dil-a-did. pain medication given to cancer patients. she has absolutely no reason to be on this med, who is her physician prescribing this? very sad situation for such a young woman. i lost a nephew to a drug o.d. in 2007. she needs very serious intervention!!!
Honey probably the same doctor as michael jackson.lol.. U know most doc.. are full of it and can be bought....this world is so crazy people analize things way to hard especially when there none of there buisness... can we concentrate on the more important issue's like the Oil Spill. or is bashing Lindsay more important than that.. let that girl live her life if she want's your advice im shure she will ask...
I believe there is some truth in what her dad is saying. He may want his 15 minutes of fame but I'm sure he's concerned about the well-being of his daughter. She needs some serious help and putting her in jail and doing nothing else will probably make things worse once she's out!
It was comical watching her with her attorney. Her attorney was golden. I know [I work in the legal field] she probably wanted to jack slap her and tell her to let go of her arm and shut up with the crying! Had you listened to me you'be be over with this insanity, but no. You thought you were Ms. Thang, well Ms. Thang, this is what you get! Let go of my arm and pay the bill. Good riddance! It was funny watching her look so serious while the idiot was carrying on.
Why would you wonder about this, Lyndsay is an airhead. She is an uneducated young white woman, who cares for no-one but herself and the media continues to press her inthe limelight knowing this is a troubled person. She has no sense of anything outside of herself. She's such an idiot she really believed that her going to Morroco to help poor black chilluns was somehow going to make her a saint. Until she takes the reins of her own life and blows off her parents and listens to her gut isntincts. Ms. Lohan will continue to fail, blame others and sink into the dismal abyss called her life.
This is real funny.. U people don't know her and acting like u do.. just because someone is on tv and is in entertainment doesn't mean u know them..... she is someones daughter and someones sister and someones bestfriend would u want to be judged and treated as such...... get over it its not that big of a deal... i think it makes us feel better about ourself's if we can find the fault in other's... we are all siner's and no one is better than the next... just pray for her ... thanks
Lindsey Lohan was relevant when she was 12...the entire second half of her life has been a complete waste of anyone's time who bothered paying attention to it. That said, her 90 day sentence will ultimately be about a week, tops, in LA's prison system. But she is always looking for a new girlfriend to replace Samantha, so now she has a chance.
But forget Lindsey, the news of the day is LeBron James.
LeBron James announces that he will buy the Miami Heat, endorse the New York Knicks, marry two of the LA Clippers’ Spirit Dancers in a Utah ceremony in August, become Executive Vice President of Mining and Distribution for Polyus Gold (NJ Nets’ owner Mikhail Prokhorov’s gold empire) and play basketball part-time for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
