Drake postpones summer tour

Drake announced on Thursday that he’s postponing his "Away From Home" summer tour through Europe to spend time with his sick mother.

“Despite my best hopes, it is apparent that my mother will need surgery earlier than anticipated,” Drake said.

The Toronto native, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, tweeted Wednesday asking followers to keep his mother in their thoughts.

“Back at my moms house...please include her in your prayers tonight as tmrw she faces a true challenge,” he wrote.

Though Drake has always seemed hesitant to discuss his personal life, he recently opened up about, about his mother in particular, during the MTV special, “Drake: Better Than Good Enough,” a documentary.

“My mom is sick,” he said. “So that scares me a lot. She's been the most supportive person I've ever had in my life - the only person that loves me unconditionally, really. I know a lot of people love me and I love a lot of people. But to love somebody unconditionally is different.”

    I don`t think it was neccessary for your lat comment. About how you hope the prayers work better than they did for the Gulf Coast. Yeahh Wasnt Needed At ALL. But Thank God She`s Ok. She`s Beautifull<33

    Drake actually seems like a good guy. Hope that his mom is okay.

    At least, hope that the prayers work out better for her than they did for the Gulf Coast.
