Looks like soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo has a new goal – being a dad.
The Team Portugal player and Emporio Armani underwear model announced Saturday on his Facebook page and Twitter that he is the proud father of a newborn son.
"It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy," said Ronaldo, 25.
As for the child’s mother? Ronaldo, who has previously played the field with Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, writes, "As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship."
Asked for further details, a spokesman at Gestifute, which manages Ronaldo, would only tell People: "It's all true but we don't want to say any more."
Even A-list stars can’t resist the lure of the vuvuzela!
Oscar nominee Leo DiCaprio was spotted blasting the long red trumpet – and possibly annoying music legend Mick Jagger – as he watched Germany claim victory over Argentina at the World Cup quarter final soccer match on July 3.
DiCaprio, whose mother, Irmalin, is German, was seated directly behind Jagger at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa. As he watched Germany beat its rivals 4-0, the 35-year-old “Inception” star would frequently stand up and unleash that distinctive toot – right near the Rolling Stones rocker’s head.
Let’s hope 66-year-old Jagger – who was accompanied by his young son Lucas - was a good sport and didn’t end up with a Titanic headache.
Comic legend Richard Pryor has inspired legions of comedians and now he’s inspiring a big-screen movie.
Pryor’s life will be turned into a biopic produced by Chris Rock and Adam Sandler and starring Marlon Wayans. “Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?” will tell Pryor’s story from his childhood at his grandmother’s Peoria, Illinois, brothel to his rise on the comedy scene to his struggle with drug addiction.
Eddie Murphy, who co-starred with the groundbreaking comedian in 1989’s “Harlem Nights,” was originally attached to the project, but reportedly passed because of “creative differences.” Meanwhile, Pryor, who died in 2005 at age 65, had selected “The Hangover” star Mike Epps as his personal choice. But Rock, 45, says it was “Scary Movie” and “G.I. Joe” funny guy Wayans who was born to play the role. FULL POST
He kissed the girl – but not on the first date.
Katy Perry reveals in the August issue of Esquire magazine that she refused to go home with fiancé Russell Brand their first night together and made him wait for sex.
The pair had been out clubbing but self-confessed “sex addict” Brand, 35, was mistaken when he assumed they’d continue the fun back at his place. “Can you imagine the horrible feeling he had when he was used to getting everything he wanted?' the “California Gurls” singer, 25, tells the magazine, adding that she’s since tamed the once wild Brit comedian. “He basically used to be a professional prostitute,” she says, “and now he's not.” FULL POST
His grandmother met Lady Gaga, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Prince Harry was a Gleek.
At the Wireless Festival in London’s Hyde Park on Friday, the 25-year-old royal posed for a photo with “Glee” star Cory Monteith.
While Harry hasn’t publicly said he is a fan of the hit Fox show, it’s clear that 28-year-old Monteith, who plays quarterback/glee club member Finn Hudson, was excited to meet the prince.
