There was so much big news to cover on “Showbiz Tonight,” we had to take a vote in the morning meeting on which story would be our top story today.
Elizabeth Edwards is making startling revelations about life after her split from former presidential candidate John Edwards and - get this - she feels a special sisterhood with Sandra Bullock.
Hey, it makes sense – Sandra and Elizabeth had ugly splits, with their husband’s mistresses talking to anyone who would listen, and both stood strong in the face of all the drama and both seem to be coming out on the other side stronger women!
It was a slam dunk for a top story until we learned about Sandra’s new confessions about her quickie divorce from Jesse James. How did it all go down? Two juicy stories made for one tough call—so what did we go with?
You, my "Showbiz Tonight" friends, will have to tune it at 5 p.m. EST to find out!
Plus, here’s a question to ponder at the water cooler today: In the wake of the latest “Bachelor" breakup, can anyone really find love on reality TV? Let us know what you think in our question of the day.
It's amazing to me that anyone feels any sympathy for Elizabeth Edwards. Sure, her husband cheated and lied to her and that's not her fault. However, once she found out, she supported her husband's lies (and co-opted their children) so that he could continue his chase for the Presidency. She went from victim to accomplice. That's very different from Sandra Bullock, by the way.
John Edwards should be quartered and hung! How he could do what he did to a wife who is suffering from incurable cancer is beyond comprehension. He lied, he plotted, he tried to get someone else to say the baby wasn't his and he smiled throughout the entire story, time and time again! Thank goodness this man never became the President of the USA and hopefully will never be allowed to ever hold any public office!!!
