Ryan Seacrest might be a good replacement. He'll bring in the younger crowd. But is he as worldly as Larry. Piers Morgan is another possibility. A big no to Joy Behar. She doesn't have the "class". I really can't comment on Couric.
Same with Jeff Probst.
Larry should be the poster boy for a mandatory retirement age.
Does anyone else see the resemblance to Gollum in that photograph? Is he hissing "yessssssssssssss, my preciousssssssssss?"
I am pretty sure that CNN had something to do with Larry's leaving and not Larry's choice alone. His viewership has been down for a long time now and you know how the Networks react when their numbers drop on certain programs.
Maybe it is time for him to enjoy his children and what's left of his marriage. Good luck Larry!
So CNN, how come there's only two sentences to this story. Any one else you would've put in more detailed speculation as to why he's leaving i.e. trying to save his marriage, another affair, wife's mental state, etc... Come on CNN, we what the scoop (gossip) that you give to other celebrities!!!
Larry King became irrelevent 10 years ago. The guy is a terrible interviewer. Many times he's unprepared and acts like he doesn't even know who the guest is. See ya Larry....good riddance!
Its about time you can get back to wife number 8 or is it 9? You don't even know how many times you have been married. You can keep on lying about people you never met and say they are your friends. Hope they are giving you less pay.
He will be missed. I have been following his career since the early Miami Beach days. I thought he needed to announce at the end of the show. His early conversation with Bill M. was awkward and strange.
Chaia his daughter to replace him? What a great idea! Yes, Larry will be missed, thanks for posting Carole.
Replacement for Larry? His daughter Chaia is a shoe in....not sure why CNN hasn't ushered her in 'deskside' to work with him till he retires. She's an amazing journalist, and can shoot off the interview questions like her dad, if not better!
Larry give it up already....retire and enjoy your money ...Remember no one take anything when they die...and be happy , because when you're gone....another man will enjoy your money....!'
THANK GOD!!!! It was about time.... Go home, enjoy your kids, find a new stupid wife and dissapear into the sunset.
Seems like the most hostile and bitter of posters always are the worst spellers.
Seems like the biggest trolls are the ones that correct peoples spelling.
This has ruined my day. I was always dreading this news... LKL also amazes me with the guests he has on his show...and he gets the guests/scandals of the day...One of the reasons I have cable is for LKL. I will truly miss him as I check everyday who will be his guests...Enjoy your time with your family..you will be sorely missed!
