Ne-Yo gearing up for fatherhood

If you're in the Atlanta, Georgia area and you spot superstar vocalist and songwriter Ne-Yo out and about, shout out a congratulations: the 30-year-old is expecting his first child with his longtime girlfriend, CNN has confirmed.

But contrary to some of the buzz that's been circulating about the musician, he has not popped the question to his girlfriend, his rep said.

The artist, whose upcoming album "Libra Scale" drops in September, headed back home to Atlanta recently to be on hand for the first ultrasound, he told EbonyJet.com. The tiny being was curled up in a little ball, so there's no news of the baby's sex yet, although he or she does appear to be stubborn, the "Closer" singer joked.

But before you think like father, like baby, Ne-Yo added, "They didn't get that one from me."
